How did your mom help you spend the time of measurement after inserting the thermometer?

Did she tell you to count the minutes or seconds? Did she show you a clock on the wall? Or he measured time with an hourglass? Or was she just talking to you and stroking your buttocks? Or was she turning the thermometer?

Mostly, she would talk to us and hold the thermometer if it looked like we were gonna squirm around. As we got older, and if she was busy, she would insert the thermometer and leave us alone until it was time to pluck it out of our bottoms. My sister and I still joke about watching Bugs Bunny cartons, on Saturday morning, laying on the sofas, with thermometers in our butts.

As I recall, there were times I had to shout out to her to come remove the thermometer because she got busy elsewhere in the apartment. Somewhere along the line I obtained a Benrus alarm clock which I used to time the temperature taking. The times when the temperature taking was a prelude to an enema session, I kept quiet.

My mother just held the thermometer in my bottom, telling me to keep still if I started to squirm, and she used a kitchen timer which ticked off the 5 minutes until it was time to take the thermometer out of my bottom and read it.

I got mine doggy style position ,she inserted and came back 3 minutes later

My mom always taked to me when she took my tmperature. And it was only a minute an a half until the thermometer (digtal) was done. So there was no long time.

I would be on my tummy on a towel on the couch. If I was really sick she would rub my back.
