Aug/Sept Hay Fever Allergies = ENEMAS

Growing up I had terrible hay-fever allergies in August- usually peaking over Labor Day and not winding down until after the first frost. In those days there weren't allergy meds and what meds there were were constipating. It was therefore the usual routine that I would be given enemas during my allergy season. In fact, I remember often being sick over Labor Day weekend which was the worst time for it- and the family would have vacation plans and/or relatives visiting. On one such occasion, grandma came to visit. While sick in bed, I overheard mom and grandma talking in the kitchen when grandma said “well, why don't we just go ahead and give Michael a good soapy ENEMA…” I all of a sudden became weak in the knees and doubled-over with butterflies in my tummy. AN ENEMA! And so, it is a vivid remembrance this time of year- a reminder that it is the season for enemas. ….https://en.zity.biz/gallery/image/16548
