OH, how well I remember my mom giving me the weekly enema! She sincerely believed that a “good cleansing” was necessary for my health and overall, well-being. At the same time Mom was always very gentle giving me an enema and while I was across her lap, I also knew better than to fuss or carry-on with complaining & such. That was because she would not hesitate to spank me and since mom played tennis on a regular basis, she could really SWAT! I recall how she would first fill a syringe with warm mineral oil and then ever so gently lubricate me before slowly inserting the bulb syringe and slowly squeezing it. She would then read a magazine while the oil “did it's work”, and after about 10 to 15 minutes she would have me stand up and she would depart while I used the potty. When she returned to check on me, I would be back across her lap and be given several fillings of warm water the famous “Red Bag.” Personally, I am inclined to believe that during a young person's upbringing this process of a weekly enema from a parent is conducive to developing an in-depth closeness between the parental & the sibling,,,,,,,,,,,,,just my opinion,,,,,,,,,,and the same applies between two significant others too
