Per, failtless50, “There is a long history of “hydrotherapy” in treating the mentally ill.”
I knew that, but i never made the connection to myself, though have had similar experiences. When given with loving compassion, wanting to lift one up that is sagging, the long extended process will distract, sooth, comfort and reassure that life goes on, and even is worth living. I do not give a climax, nor encourage sexual enhancement, at all. I want them to feel good about themselves and my nursing. I ask that they wait till after i am dismissed, even hoping, sometimes asking, they might not till the next day or so. It is an enema, not something else. I ask that they use the cleansing energy to move their muscles and get some work done, get some satisfaction in living life. Because depression is so serious, i am very regimented when i think it is present. Per my experience with depression, enema and climax can be like a mere sugar high.
Your enema is the other way to get fucked and just leave it at that, for best results. Getting a depressed person to simply move on, is a big step. Maybe like a flat tire: Plug the hole, give it a nice fill and move about some. It becomes an adventure that can be had when times get dark and a proactive distraction helps turn the corner to get something done that can be looked back on as a positive step. I have read of others in Zity discussions talk about doing house work while holding a little enema treat,, of something that sort of wants to come out, but you talk it into staying a while longer, while giving attention to some work, and learning how to move on past a flat or rut in the road.
