Microwave Silicone Nozzles

I have found that you can warm up silicone rubber nozzles in the microwave oven. Must be enough O-H bonds to absorb the microwave radiation to heat up. I heat up the nozzles, 45 seconds, max level, just to see how hot they get, usually ok for insertion. Be careful to feel all around the nozzle, inserting a hot model B might be more than you bargained for. I like the “feel” of a warm to hot nozzle in my rectum, then start the enema, the warmth doesn't last very long but it is fun at the start.

Sketchy, could melt inside of thick nozzle & not feel hot on outside! Best to drop in hot or boiling hot water for a few minutes.

If you use the douche nozzle with all the holes that spray out the sides and water that is 107-108, you can get that warm feeling in your rectum throughout the whole enema. I use that and it works very well.

You are not going to “melt” silicone rubber at any reasonable condition, silicone baking trays are rated to 550 F. Materials that are very poor microwave absorbers (like silicone rubber, very few OH groups) are very slow to warm up, unlike glycerin solutions (huge amount of OH groups) which heat up very fast and to high temps. Keep the time to 45 seconds or so, won't be a problem, I have done it to maybe 5 different Silicone Nozzle products, same result with all nozzles.

Never tried heating nozzles in the microwave. I'm with codger, I preheat under hot running water and then put it in the bag. A warm nozzle sure feels good…
