Your First Bag ?
Australia is not a country known for being associated with Enema/ Douche Bags
Usually you'd more than likely find Enamelware Douche Cans, Higginson Syringes, Bulbs of various types & quantities and what is referred to as Whirling Sprays
As for myself, my first Bag came into my life at well past 30 …..this is where things get a bit watery
Firstly I'd been diagnosed with an umbilical hernia which required surgery…As one might imagine surgery didn't take place until the contents of my stomach & bowels were satisfactorily removed…..The Enema was employed to do the deed, however before it was initiated I'd been given one of those small (useless) micro enemas….waste of time & effort !!
The duty nurse tending my room turned up with one of those EZM semi opaque vinyl bags of around 2 & ½ quarts of warm milky consistency solution.
At this point I'll go no further as I'd planned on writing a story about this. The title I'd considered was >> The Shadow On The Wall….and / or …Hospital Daze.
How had I arrived at such a title ???…. @azdiane had mentioned a similar line many moons ago….I thought it was the perfect description as that was the image I saw on the wall in front of me as the Goodly Nurse stood behind me holding up “the bag”.
After I'd been discharged (no pun) I'd fiddled around on an early model computer & searched for the obvious & found a Red Rubber Madison which was the beginning of a collection
Perhaps @gibby may appreciate said story applied to her thread….at a later date
