Wishfull thinking, fantasy, passing on of false information, this is was makes up this unfounded subject. It seems pretty ridiculous, to think it could be reality. There’s nothing in the real world, of girls entering into this, that can be true. I point to one thing (there are many), in particular to say it’s pure fantasy. There are stores, big and small, that carry and cater to Confirmation dress (clothing), both boys & girls. If it were true, these stores, or departments with in stores, would have such articles available for purchase. THEY DO NOT! No store that sells Confirmation clothing, has diapers and plastic pants, for such a purpose, never have.

I understand, and enjoy such notions, and or fantasies, just as much as I understand, Bugs Bunny was not a real living rabbit.

I received my Confirmation, watched my sister receive hers, plus many family & friends, and never once has there been a diaper involved. Never heard anyone ask about such, or seek advice on such a practice.

So my advice, go ahead and have your fantasy, talk about such fantasy, write a story about it, but don’t think for a moment it’s a real thing, or ever has been. Except for, what someone already mentioned, it could be a girl is in a diaper, but it would be because she has wetting issues.

Just to be precise: Confirmation is done around at 12-13 years of age. Not 16-18.

Apparently it varies between countries or even parishes. Some have it even at 9. My older half-brother had it at 17, but my younger half-sisters at 15.

I escaped that but declaring myself atheist to my grandmother distress. I was always a black sheep.

I completely agree with him !

My sister and I both wore diapers and rubber pants to our confirmations. We were still wetting our beds at that age, and our mom had us wear diapers when away from home for things like car trips, going to the movies, especially drive ins, Sunday mass and other times.

Lyric, While our members might be interested in how you and your sister felt about this ‘remedy’ it is quite a different scenario from the church requiring (only girls) to be dressed in diapers. I trust you both had to deal with your mom’s ‘solution’ and that it was not fantasy. Whereas the church requiring such dressing would seem nothing but fantasy. However, as I’ve said before we all have fantasies and as long as they stay private, and only involve willing people of legal consent, we should stop worrying about this person’s fantasy and just let them enjoy it.

I am extremely sceptical about any reports of alleged personal experiences when subject of those happen to be reporter's fetish. Apparently some get sexually excited making up and telling such stories. So, person who has diapers fetish telling story from their childhood involving wearing diapers well past usual age - nah, I am not buying it.
