This might be a kind of stupid question but I can't seem to get the disposable gloves I bought onto my hands they always rip. I don't think that they are way too small. Any advice on how to put them on?
No, not stupid, just perhaps less experience than some. I use these same regular nonsterile latex gloves for many things, including not only sexual and health applications but also messy or infectious chores like cleaning cat boxes, occasionally cleaning the cats as well(!), trash removal, household cleaning, etc., so have gone through thousands of them. "Latex gloves" or "rubber gloves" bought in 50-100 to a box can be wildly variable in their quality and rip characteristics. Mine are usually from the internet where I can buy repeat orders of what's worked well before. Locally, I discovered that WalMart and Target at least so far sell store brands of VERY poor quality, ripping easily just putting them on, often right around the base near your wrist, sometimes 20-30% per box or more. I'm afraid I can't list any names of good solid quality non-ripping gloves I've used, but when I see the boxes next I'll post them.
So first make sure your gloves are decent quality, then follow the others' advice on having dry hands, proper sizing, not pulling them on too fast or vigorously, etc.
More data and/or advice when I get the brand names to post.
BTW, vinyl or nitrile gloves seem much more sturdy than rubber, but I dislike and use very few of them, but they also seem much less prone to rip.
