Shirt on but then off

Anyone watch auscultation videos on Youtube? I was watching one where the guy was on the exam table & the woman listened to his heart through his shirt. But then she had him take off his shirt so she could listen to his lungs from the back! So both ends of the spectrum in one exam. I thought it was more ridiculous than doing the whole auscultation through the shirt. How silly can one be?

That just sounds ridiculous. If you're not being asked to take your shirt off, they should at least lift it up so you're being listened to on bare skin so that sounds aren't muffled, but listening through your shirt for some parts but then removing it altogether later on makes it sound like they're not sure what they're doing.

Scotty, that's happened to me somewhat. The nurse practitioner I see has sometimes auscultated over my shirt on one side & then listened under or lifted my shirt to listen on the other side.

I'm glad it's a lot simpler for me. For a physical, sitting or lying there in my trunks or when I go to the docs when I'm ill asked to take my shirt off so I'm always listened to bare chested.

Very, I have never done it in play or for real, you would never get accurate results.

Always carry out auscultation with steth in direct contact with skin. Depends on circumstances and specific procedure whether shirt/top on or off. Mostly off.

I regularly watch videos like this on Youtube. I am particularly sensitive to ASMR videos. Here I like to watch the medical roleplays. There are already some very good doers who have the right voice and the right equipment. I was particularly fond of roleplays that deal with cardiological examinations (listening to the heart, measuring pulse and blood pressure).

For me, videos are also interesting where the makers record your heartbeat and you can hear it in the videos. With videos like this, I can actually fall asleep.
