Why do older men like playing "Daddy"?

I was wondering why older men like role-playing"daddy" with younger women?

I am in my mid-50s and have no children. I returned to college to finish my degree when I was in my late 30s. I found myself meeting many girls mostly they were half my age. One of them was 19, looked like a young Anne Margaret. She always caressed my hand as she passed the joint. One day after yoga, she threw herself at me. Ain't that the truth! Add to that, there are many hot young gals out there who do not have a father figure in their lives to bond with. They will do almost anything to achieve that bond, and the feelings of being needed, wanted, loved, cared for, and appreciated. The things they will do to achieve those feelings is beyond belief. Thank societies of today for making such relationships possible.

I was never a sexual prude, not back then, not now, but for both my wife and myself there was something about all that 'Daddying' my sister did that was weird, creepy and off-putting. After a family dinner or some such occasion where all the siblings would be present and my sister and husband as well, it just didn't sit well with me and was enough to put me off sex. Just thinking about it gave me the willies and a bad taste.

@agracier, I consider that behavior of hers totally inappropriate. I live by a set of simple rules, one of which being that you can do whatever the hell you want sexually with your partner, so long as it doesn't put any of you in danger and that none of it is imposed on unwilling witnesses or done at the expense of others. Well, not really. She just didn't realize how creepy it was. Especially when she did it around my parents.

Because they miss it when they were younger.

Personally, i hate it. It makes me cringe when a guy refers to me as "daddy."

Not sure of all the reasons why? Besides the social conditioning, i'm a total bottom with a decided sub streak, so it feels way off the mark as an identifier.
