What was your first enema experience like?

My first, that I remember was about constipation. I had it then, and do now. (I believe that a lot of the attraction of enemas is about going, just saying) The plastic nozzle did hurt, they were sharp in the olden days. I took the whole bag.

Mom left me to expel. There was a biggin in there. The relief started me on the road.

My enema experience started when I was about five and a half. My neighbor was a boy about a year older than I, and we had found his parents' enema set. My first enema was actually a barium enema given to me in a hospital. I was about ten years old, and it was given to help diagnose a stomach ache.

I was playing in my room. My mom called me to the bathroom. As soon as I arrived, my mom asked me to undress. I didn't know home was going to make me. I remember there was a bucket in the ground and my mom was holding a blue bag with a hose in her hand. My mom hung the bag on a hook on the wall. Then she accompanied me on her knees. I've written about this elsewhere. So, to recap: I was too young to remember my first enema or even why. Not only that, as far as I can recall, I didn't even know the meaning of the word enema until I was probably 14 years old. I don't recall hearing the word "enema" used until my dad used it describe what city in the US would be given an enema if the world needed one.

I do recall snippets of my enemas when I was younger. I recall the soapy water in a translucent bucket, I recall laying across my mom's lap as the water flowed up a tube that I was later to learn was a colon tube. I later found that bucket (after my mom and dad divorced) and found it again (minus the colon tube) tucked away in a closet of the main bathroom in my dad's house. I don't know why she gave me enemas. It's one of the things I wish I had thought of to ask her in our many conversations. It just may have been “the way” to treat my various symptoms associated with tonsillitis.

After my mom and dad divorced and I went to live with my dad, my dad sold his farm and bought a house that we moved into shortly after JFK was assassinated. I was 10 years old at that time. The move meant that my brother and I went to new schools and I rode a school bus for the first time since I rode to school for kindergarten. But that lasted a little more than a year before I went to junior high school when it was back to walking to school again (sweaty walks home during hot afternoons). Somewhere in that timeframe when I was 11-12 years old, I began taking showers (rather than baths) in the bathroom that was a “¾ bath” (had a shower, toilet and sink) rather than in the main bathroom. That was at my dad's insistence.

One day, I found this red rubber bag (open top) hanging in the shower with a red house and curved black screw-on nozzle. Two other nozzles were laying on a glass shelf in the mirrored cabinet on the wall. It wasn't long before I figured out that I could insert the nozzle into my ass (a nice feeling to start with) and then have the warm water that I had filled the bag using a 16 ounce metal cup that was kept at the sink, flow into me once I opened the metal clip that held the flow back. The bag held four of those cups.

After my enemas, I would clean the nozzle with soap and leave the tube and nozzle hanging down from the bag as the shower curtain rod was mounted high enough that the nozzle was left hanging above the tiled shower floor.

One other thing. Years later, when I started using Ivory soap for enemas, the first time I mixed up a warm Ivory enema in a rubber bag open top bag, there was a flood of memories associated with the scent of warm rubber and the Ivory soap. I didn't use any soap when I discovered and used that red bag as a adolescent (and later). Besides, my dad's household used Dial soap. Nor did I get that flood of memories when I first tried soap in enemas as an adult using castile soap. It wasn't until I used Ivory that I had a flood of scent memory response. Somewhere in my past there must have been warm red rubber and Ivory soap. I just don't remember when.

The rest is a very pleasant history.

The first one I remember is when I was constipated and my mom and grandma were home with me. Now the trainee decanted from the large jug into a smaller more manageable vessel and following the instructions she slowly poured into the funnel, I immediately felt the warm water flow in and it wasn’t long before I started to experience cramping, at this point they waited for them to pass then began to fill again, I seem to remember that I had three fills before the tube was pulled out of my bottom. They said that I had to stay in that position for a short period then they produced a ceramic bedpan and sat me on it to await the results, very soon a torrent of smelly water and solids came out and they seemed pleased with the results so they cleaned me up and removed the rubber sheet and pulled up the bedding and told me to go back to sleep. That was impossible as I had just felt and experienced the most amazing feelings of my life. And that has lead to a lifetime of enema and rubber fetish play and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
