Back in the 1960s I had a number of pre-employment medicals. Joining the pension and life insurance scheme was a benefit, for which the medical examination was required.
My first employment was in a life insurance company, so was asked to attend the company doctor. His 'rooms' were in an office block in the City of London. His receptionist, in a white coat, booked be in.
She took me into the examination room and told me to strip to the waist, and take my shoes and socks off. She then took my height and weight, and left the room..
The Doctor arrived, he seemed elderly to me, but I was young!
He took my blood pressure. Then put on his stethoscope and listened to my front and back.
I then lay on the examination couch, undid my trousers and lowered my underpants to just below my pubic hair. He then felt my abdomen and groin.
I was told to drop and step out of my trousers and underpants. He looked at my naked body front and back. Then he slipped his fingers under my balls and asked me to cough.
End of the examination.
I started working in the insurance company where I saw medical reports of insurance applicants, many having being examined by my insurance doctor.
I also often wondered how my fellow employees, both male and female, reacted to the medical examination I had.
