I like to put on my thick, soft, cloth diapers at night when I go to bed--one thick flannel inner contour, a thin outer contour (which is a few sizes too large--this is what I pin), and in the middle I take a thick nine-layer prefold and fold it three times lengthwise and put it in between as a "soaker". I think drink a couple of glasses of water, go to bed, and wet my diapers all night long.
When I wake up in the morning, they are wonderfully and pleasantly soaked and feel great. If my teenage kids are at home, I'll spend a short time in my diapers then get myself off in them, take them off, and clean up.
But on those rare occasions when my kids are gone for the night, I'll wear them for hours, sometimes until 9-10 in the morning and enjoy them. I like to sit here at the PC and check out this and other diaper sites, answer emails, play games and so on while diapered. Sometimes I'll pull down my plastic pants in the front so I can enjoy smelling the wonderful wet diaper smells.
And sometimes--especially if I'm the only person in the house--I'll go one step further and poop a huge load in my diapers then sit here in that for several hours, enjoying the feeling and the smell and being constantly reminded of what a bad baby I am. Then I'll go to the bedroom, spread out a few towels, and get myself off this way (there's no better way to do it). Then I clean up in the shower and wash my diapers.
I usually wash them much the same way that PooBrat washes his--an initial rinse, then a long cycle with a double rinse using liquid Dreft, then after that another rinse with a few ounces of white vinegar. Then one final rinse after that.
Then when all the fun is over I usually have a prolonged "dry out" time--usually for the rest of the day--before wearing again. That seems to prevent diaper rash (though I have occasionally over indulged and gotten it a few times).
