Paddling vs slap

I grew up in an era when guys got spanked/paddled thru high school and I was one of them------It happened thru high school mostly by dad and it was bare with a paddle and it hurt on my bare butt---I just accepted it as normal as my male friends got it also-----I have always had a very good realation shipwith my parents I was never ever slapped----I do not know why but if I had been slapped I would have been more insulted and damaged than 100 bare paddlings---it may seem weird however it seemed to me as I grew up a guy's butt was just a normal place to get discipline I just accepted it as a normal part of growing up even in high school If my mom had ever slapped me i would have been devestated----she sure paddled my bare but often enough!
