The advantage to all this is my accessibility from the waist down with easy enough access to anything higher. Comfort really does matter!

As winter approaches, arms tend to be out of the covers and get cold. This makes tops only a convenient and very useful approach to sleep wear.

If it is to cold for full blown nekked then a tank tee or regular tee as the weather get colder is my alternate. I remember racing around at 3 yrs old with only a tee shirt and no bottoms at my grandparents. Like many others it allows easy access but keeps one from freezing.

During the day I usual keep the house warm enough for total nudity if that is what I'm planning but at night I like it cooler for sleeping.

It has definitely cooled off for fall, so it's now t-shirt or sweat shirt weather for me. Whether around the house doing chores, or hanging out watching a ball game, it feels good to let my lower half cool off, and air out, especially after a warm shower.

Sometimes I do. All my important stuff feels great in the breeze. Usually only around the house, they get goofy on you at the airport, lol.

To be out in the woods in just a t-shirt and a pair of sneakers is my all-time favorite option for outdoor recreation, more so than complete nudity in my experience. When I know of people being nude from waist down in true nudist settings, it's usually about it being too cool for total nudity. I agree, the top half loses more body heat, so covering that half works best, still allowing some sense of the freedom of not having the areas covered which society would get upset about in the rest of the world.

Many years ago I lived near the Russian River in northern California. I'd spend many an idyllic Saturday or Sunday sunbathing, skinny dipping, and hiking through the redwood forests along the banks of its more isolated stretches.

I used to do the same years ago when we went to the Pyrenees on vacation in the summer. On the Spanish side it is very nice and warm, if not hot and while my wife stayed in the camping grounds, I would often go for a hike in the mountains above and when far enough away, undress (except shoes of course) or depending on the temperature, sometimes leave a shirt on but nothing else. It felt wonderful. I never encountered anyone else on such hikes.

Sometimes at night, I would also go nude for a long walk in the surrounding areas. Never up into the mountains though, just in the woods around the camping area. Never encountered anyone either on these walks except for foxes, deer or a badger once. There was an extra frisson about walking naked at night. Perhaps it was something to do with witches and such, which, traditionally were said to be numerous in that part of the mountains.

This describes how I feel when I do outdoor photo shoots in a jockstrap in the colder months. Having something to wear on my upper half is appropriate, keeps me warm, and covers up my poor physique.
