I'm almost entirely in the enemas for pleasure and orgasms camp, with the fairly rare exception of an every 3-5 year screening colonoscopy clean out (very bad Family History of colon, etc., cancers). So I've more and more over the years benefitted from Beth Tyler and later offshoot sites now like Silicone Nozzles, et. Al., where I can buy high quality equipment both for basic enemas as well as more fun anal pursuits. At my age with known colon problems (IBS, polyps, diverticulosis, +FH) I'm well past worrying about appearances when buying enema gear in person at a pharmacy or elsewhere, but it's very nice to have such a relative plethora of sites and equipment to choose from. In fact, when I do need to buy an enema supply or laxative or suppository from my local Walgreens store where I buy my medicines, I make a specific point of intentionally asking the pharmacist, tech or store clerk personally for what I need and to show it to me. I just enjoy watching the reactions of people knowing I'm buying enema/bowel items and that I'm completely relaxed and happy to share what I'm buying. Let them wonder what I do with it! Great fun.
Also, CJ1999 said in part,
As others have pointed out, the alternative health and homeopathy movements produce thousands of enema 'fans.' They tout the enema as 'detoxing' the body and curing just about everything.....................
I think most of it is a load of crap (sic -YES) and some of those people are just trying to justify that they enjoy sticking things up their asses.
I agree completely, for, among other reasons, because enemas of any kind, size, content, frequency or length have no long term beneficial effect on serious depression and some related disorders as I have heard claimed by some of these whacko proselytizers. I've taken enemas for over fifty years and battled (yes, an overused but carefully chosen term) Major Depression with Anxiety for nearly as long, and I'm unfortunately still properly referred to as "treatment resistant." I love enemas and related endeavors which make me feel nice for a short time, but treating depression? I'll personally provide directions to the nearest lake they should jump in. Want to sell your enema gear and solutions for a profit? No problem, sweetums, but don't do it on the backs of millions of people with serious or life-threatening diseases like this one (rough recollection: ~20, 000 US gun suicides a year). Starting this post, I had no intention of ascending to this particular soapbox, but so be it. Truth is truth, and recent life circumstances at age 65 lead me to believe more than ever that I'd better be true to myself and speaking truth loud and clear whenever it becomes apparent. Thanks for reading.
