As I've said before, I have both loved and hated EVERY enema I have ever taken. Along with that, there are some things that are neither positive nor negative.
One of the parts I have always hated but I understand the necessity of it is the suppository insertion!
This is WHY I will use the Fleet Bisacodyl mini-enema when I can.
Last time I took a stand-alone suppository I had my husband do the insertion. I got in Simms position on the bed and he just quickly inserted it and didn't keep his finger insider there any longer than it took to do that.
When I decided to ask him to do it, I thought I might actually enjoy it! After all, this is the only man I have had sex with for more than a dozen years, he's the father of all three of my children, and we have a good, and fairly active sex life together. So I actually thought I might like it. Weeeeeeeeellll guess what! It felt just as "Yeeeeccccch" as when I do it myself!
While the suppository was working, I gave him a hug, thanked him and explained to him WHY I had wanted him to do it. Turns out he had "read" me quite well and knew well what I was doing. Didn't mind doing it because he loves me.
After the Suppository had done what it was gonna do, he mentioned to me that he "thought" that might happen, because one time early in the sexual part of our relationship(We've known each other since we were kids) during foreplay he stuck his finger up my butt. Said it was the biggest sexual "Buzzkill" he had ever seen me have. Then I remembered it too. We were within less than a minute of penetration and had to start the whole foreplay session over!! He also said that that was why he never raised the discussion of anal sex during our honeymoon.
I can insert even the 5-inch rigid "Barium" nozzle I usually reserve for the 4-qt bag without issue, but don't talk to me while I'm doing it!
Sexually it is basically neutral. Certainly not a pleasant feeling, but one I know is completely essential to a good enema, and the enema DOES make me feel a LOT better.
