Who is Beth Tyler?

Recently I posted some Beth Tyler pictures in the Image section. Almost immediately a discussion started about who is Beth Tyler. I'm sure that many here, like myself, had dealing with her. I would love to hear your stories or observation regarding her.

Here is what I know about her. Now I don't know if that is her real name or not. During the late 70's and earlier 80's. I talked to her numerous times via phone. She started a magazine called Enema Erotica. When she found what I did professionally, she asked me to work on the mag with her. I was far too busy at the time to take on such an endeavor.

She said that she was a nurse as was many of the models in her photos and videos. Her husband Ron was a photographer who started out taking BDSM photos. Another couple (Sorry but I can't recall or never knew their names. I know both appeared in some of their earlier photo sets.) encouraged him to go into enema & douche photos and videos as they thought the was a niche in that market.

Now as to what happened to her. I have heard myriad renditions. All I know is I called Beth one night and Ron answered the phone. He said that Beth and he had separated but offered no details. I called one time after that, he said they were divorcing and he didn't know where she was.

I saw a notice on another Web Site from Ron's new wife, who also went by the name of Beth Tyler, which makes me the first or original Beth Tyler was a moniker, that said Ron died in the Philippines.

I would love to hear more about her.

Beth Tyler was one of the very early queens of enemas along with Sherry Taylor and Darlene Hollomon starting in the 1970's, I believe when I was just a babe!

Beth and her husband Ron were one of the original high quality enema equipment suppliers and enema photo and 8mm film(?), later video VHS distributors.

If I remember correctly, I bought my first Sherema bag and colon tube from her "mail order" when I was in high school.

I lived in Danbury while the Tylers were busy with EE in Hartford. I was just a pre-internet enema fiend with no idea what was going on just up the road.

I redrew a lot of things from her and watched the films. I always enjoyed enemas but seeing that site made me realize I was not weird or alone. Too bad they are still not around.

There is one video clip here & there on the internet, I think called "asian enema." Supposedly it's Ron Tyler with 2 asian (Filipino?) girls, giving them enemas and filming the expulsion (standing on the toilet rim, etc). Every now and then a guy can be seen administering. Might be Ron: but who's running the camera?

The "Beth" I talked with was supposedly from the Philippines and was going back there to check on her mother after a hurricane, and I don't know if she ever came back or not. Either way, another good company gone.

@Dan There were two Beth Tyler associated with the equipment, photo set, video & web site business. Both were wives of Ron Tyler, who ran the business. The first was a blonde, who was a nurse. The second was from the Philippians. Ron passed away and the second Beth Tyler gave the business to Linda Marie. Linda did little to nothing with the business.

Ddell2 you have the Beth Tyler history right except for one thing. Linda Marie worked hard at trying to make the business go. But by the time she took it over, there were several other places on the internet selling enema equipment and it was a lot more competitive situation that when Ron Tyler was running the business. So after a couple of years she shut down the business and transferred the Myenemates page to a lady in Canada and I can't remember her name right now.

Dan is correct insofar as Beth # 2 hailed from the Philippines, though not her given name, changed it by deed poll to become Rons second wife & co-operator of Beth Tyler Films after he & Beth ? # 1 divorced.

Originally Beth ? # 1 & a legitimate formally trained RN foresaw the future direction & had the business acumen & Ron (the founder) formed Tyler Labs to edit & distribute back in the dying days of 16mm before 8 mm replaced it, which straddled both the coming generation of Betamax that died out & VHS - PAL / NTSC standardised the industry at that time. .Resulting in them jointly setting up professional studio splicing / editing transfer equipment (Tyler Labs became that name) to enable marketing of the then new VHS formatting as mentioned by Switchablesusie

At one time www.worldgroups.com had literally dozens & dozens of Beth Tyler images from the early beginnings on file . .depicting so many women from all walks of life, before / during & after. .many of them never went to video. .some real nice ones too - Site now retired

Linda Marie took on the running of Beth Tyler in collaboration with Beth mid 2009 as Ron was in deteriorating health. .Beth the second later returned to the Philippines upon Ron's passing. .Linda had put a lot of effort into keeping the Tyler legacy afloat but it eventually impacted on her own life - which is documented here at zity. .http://www.zity.biz/profile/39738

At that point negotiations saw it was passed to Anika Stern to the best of my knowledge. .The reincarnated site became just Beth Tyler (circa : 2011) as the home page & soon thereafter Annika revised it to myenemates.com. .which could have been as a result of a dispute, though that's purely speculative. .I had actually posted in her forum, but it's vanished into cyberspace

Well gang, I met Ron and his second wife who was from the Philippines. Mind you she was his third wife but she was the second Philippine wife. Her name was Elizabeth so the "Beth" part worked. The Beth that we knew from way back when (the one that is in some of the old photos) was actually named Pamela. As told to me by Ron some years ago. Maybe I'm just adding to the confusion but those facts came straight from Ron.

@Professor41 Thank you for your input. I met Beth Tyler1 one day for lunch in New York. I had a feeling her name wasn't Beth, although she didn't tell me different. Does anyone have any idea what ever happened to her? Anyone remember the first couple of issues of Enema Erotica? There were so many grammatical errors that if an English teacher ever corrected then with a red pen the pages would look like a road map. FYI, you are certainly not adding confusion. We have inquiring minds and we want to know.

I have sent out some e-mails to chat friends who I know had dealings with the Beth and Ron Tyler (Really Pamela and Dave). I will post when I get their replies.

Hey dd2, I still have all of the original issues of Enema Erotica and yes you are correct concerning all the grammar errors. I guess we were more interested in "content" back then than grammar.

I contacted a couple of friends that I know had dealing with the Tyler's. Here is the first reply that I got.

As I think i told you once, I used to have a company called tvx in the early days of video when there was money in it.

As an enema buff, I used to chat with Ron at Beth Tyler. I never talked with Beth. Ron and I had some discussions about me doing his duplicating of videos and dvds for him and mailing them out. He did not like that part of the business.

Before we could consummate anything, he died and that ended my contact.

Beth became a coke head and that ended their relationship. He was not happy about the end of the business.

Ron was a very nice guy who was a real enema freak, as I am, and we discussed some of the women who worked for min in his videos. some wild ladies.

That is about it. Nothing new here. hope you are enjoying your life and still getting your regular enemas and spankings. All the best to you.

DD, thanks for this last post. I didn't know about Beth's drug use, but am not surprised. Ron died at an early age, didn't he? Does anyone know what caused Ron's death?

"Beth" (# 1) from several google search tags suggest she departed approx. 6 years earlier, presumably from a personal altercation with her partner . . .whether that's factual is anyone's guess. Aussie, I was born in 1944 and the thought of Ron dying gives me pause. I believe that I had read somewhere that the original Beth had simply walked away. I loved all their videos and the only other maker of "E" porn that was in their class was The Collector, with all his videos of Tori, Sabrina, Piper and the unfortunate Denise Rowe. @ That Australian & Jimmyt44 Thank you both for your input. This is the first time that I have heard anything regarding Beth Tyler# 1 passing away. As I said in my previous post that I contacted a couple friends, who I know that had dealings with the Tyler's. I've only heard from Harry and am still waiting on Eric. Hopefully he will fill in a few missing pieces. In regards to Beth Tyler # 1 drug dependency, Eric told me that she became addicted to a designer drug called Ecstasy, which allegedly led to the breakup.

@ddell2 - That's the difficult part & that is in verifying of irrefutable information, more so pertaining to the history of all things Beth Tyler. .All the rest is a lot of heresay, unless they were there in person and / or genuine trustworthy friends

Re: Anika Stern. I had a business trip to Canada a few years back and contacted her about a visit/session. Her delayed reply lamented that she was having major back issues that would probably require surgery and that she could not offer her services at that time, although her website was still on the air.

I suspect that her livelihood suffered during that time and if the demise of the Tyler enterprise overlapped, she might not have had the means to sustain it as a side business.

The internet has changed commerce in every sector, including kink-related businesses. Some for the better, some the opposite. Opportunities remain for the enterprising!

It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. I trust all is well with you and your family.

I discovered Beth Tyler Enterprises in the early 70’s. There was an eight of a page ad in the back of some underground newspaper. The advertisement was for a catalog of their products that included enema & douche photo sets, 8mm movies and equipment – nozzles, bags, hosing etc. Being the enema enthusiasts that I am, needless I ordered the catalog on hotel stationery never the less that night. I receive a hand addressed, perfumed envelope with an enclosed disclaimer. To make a long story short, I ordered some photo sets and soon I became an established customer.

After a while I realized that I could trust the Tyler’s, I began phoning in my orders using a credit card instead of a money order. I found Beth to be easy to talk to and a whole plethora of favorable adjectives. One night I broached the subject that I was really interested in and that was are your models available for sessions. She paused then said that she didn’t think that their business wanted to get into that. I reassured her that I didn’t expect her to give out their phone numbers but that I would give her mine and she could do with it what she liked. A few weeks later, she gave me the name of two of her models and the name of a publication with their ads in it. The problem was both were professional dominates, which was not for what I was looking.

There was a short time in I believe in the late 70’s that the Tyler’s business was suspended. Allegedly one of the models had lied about her age. After a short time, the Tyler’s were exonerated and their business resumed.

When Beth and Ron published their first issue of their magazine, I sent them three suggestions, which are as follows:

1) Do a detailed piece on Sherry Taylor’s Sherema Specialty Clinic.

2) Add a E mate personal section where enema enthusiasts can run ads

3) Add an E Nurse section where E Nurses can advertise.

Ron shot down each one of my suggestions. I always thought that he thought if it wasn’t his idea it wasn’t good. Ironically when he and the Beth Tyler # 2 started their web site, he adopted the second two ideas.

Before I get into what I know about the Tyler’s break up, I want to preface my remarks by affirming that there seems to be two sides. I know that there are two sides to every story but with the Tyler’s it’s exponentially compounded. There is the Beth side, Ron side and recently a new side.

First, the Beth side, which comes from those, which are sympathetic to Beth, although Beth didn’t tell me this, I heard from a good friend of Beth’s that Ron began philandering with the models. I certainly find this story plausible. However, one must remember that when Ron was in the photo set or video, Beth presumably was doing the camera work.

Second, the Ron side, there are more in this category for more of us have talked to Ron after the breakup than Beth. Ron told me that Beth became dependent on drugs mainly Ecstasy. While I find this certainly conceivable, one must remember that Beth was a nurse. Not that nurses don’t become dependent on drugs but they have more to risk than say a waitress.

Finally, the new side, I have had correspondence with the man that ended up with the Tyler’s photo sets after Linda Marie gave up the business. He says that he believes that both of the above stories are erroneous. He makes a strong case that Beth, who he claims, was never really an enema enthusiasts wanted out of the enema business because of the child. Ron didn’t want out. The correspondent says that Beth destroyed the original disks and that Ron copied his to get back into business.

Three different stories and the real truth probably lies somewhere in between them.

Obituary notices for the month of September 2009 reveal 131,524 deaths & is by all accounts a very large file. .Narrowing down searchs by tag is very time consuming with a number of dead ends & difficult as both the State & relevant date remains unclear. There are so far numerous "red herrings" when one searches.

@ThatAustralian Thank you again for your work on this thread. Something Eric, the poster that posted in this thread through me, pointed out to me that hasn't been mentioned is that in many of the bedroom pictures that the Tyler's produced, you see two phones on the wall. Since the Tyler's listed a phone number in their catalog, it give more credence to the fact that Beth Tyler was an alias. I know when I met her I had a gut feeling that her name was not Beth. You can call it women's intuition or whatever.

If memory serves me, Ron opened the business and had a wife was wasn't named Beth, but that was her name for the business purpose. She died and he remarried and this second wife took the name Beth. Then Ron died, possibly she died, and a third lady took over as Beth. But I could be wrong.

Beth Tyler, as an individual, may be a figment of the imagination. Ron certainly provided many of us with some level of enjoyment of our particular kink. Whomever appears as a model or actor in the photos or movies, gave us some opportunities to ogle or imagine those wonderful sensations that we find.

One thing that sticks out in my mind, is that Beth Tyler fulfilled some needs that each of us may have developed at some point. The interactions were great and those who attempted to keep things going should be commended for their efforts. One thing that seems significant, is that the Enema Nurses listed, were very adept and trustworthy as long as the referral was from Beth Tyler or the site.

Keep refreshing some wonderful memories with those old photos etc.

I wish that their Enema Nurses list existed in a more up-to-date form.

Beth's name wasn't Beth. Ron's name wasn't Ron. Their last name wasn't Tyler. Yes, "Beth # 1" really existed. There were two phones on their bedroom wall because they ran a business out of their home. The business actually had nothing to do with sex or kink. No, I'm not going to explain any further. BarryB, as far as I know "Beth # 1" is still alive.

What actually happened between "Beth # 1" and "Ron" was personal and private. The previous stories are indeed all false. No, I'm not at liberty to disclose what actually happened but it was rather nasty.

"Beth # 2" wasn't all that into enemas, but she and "Ron" loved each other.

Ron's passing was the end of an era. Let him rest in peace.

I met "Ron," and Beth in 1973, just as they were getting started. I was introduced by a mutual friend from Portland, Maine.

His name was neither Ron nor Tyler and they were located north of Hartford, Connecticut, a home and also a communications site.

"Beth" was from Northern Maine, and when they split I believe she went back there. At the time I knew them, yes, she was into enemas, and if you brought a female partner/guest with you all would participate in enema play.

They recruited from the University of Connecticut in Storrs for some of the earlier models, but there were some issues, including an under age model, apparently working with a fake ID that nearly sent them to jail. Full blown police raid, everything confiscated, but in the end they got it all back with the exception of the underage material.

They were pioneers, most of the other material available at the time, which wasn't much, was faked. Darlene Holomon, really George Darbon, was another good supplier.

It wasn't until "The Collector" came on the scene that the quality improved, and for those into it, some really messy expelling scenes.

After some early expelling videos and stills, on advice of legal council, any expelling in the Beth Tylar videos was pretty much clear water.

Through "The Collector" I met Anika Sondholm, and we produced some videos for "The Collector," Sexy Sally for one, and many more of our own.

I tried to find the most attractive models from an on-line service, and frankly was amazed at the number of willing models. A couple were players at Disneyland! When I suggested that probably would have resulted in termination, if discovered, the answer, many of the players do porn to make extra money!

Retired and living in Australia now, but those were some interesting times.
