I thought I would make a post about where to buy some of the small miscellaneous items which are necessary for an enema set-up but are not specific to enemas. Since they’re not fetish items (at least not for me!), I’m posting here rather than under Fetish Supply Companies in The Lounge. Most or all suppliers of enema equipment also sell these items, but they can be found at much cheaper prices elsewhere.
1) Pressure/vacuum bulbs: see Heathrow Scientific on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Heathrow-Scientific-HEA20631B-Pressure-Capacity/dp/B0061OVF3A . This bulb comes with two check valves but no tubing. It makes an excellent Higginson pump, both better and cheaper than the one sold by optimalhealthnetwork. You can either use the original valves, or pull them out and substitute the better ones listed next. [Edit: the original check valves are designed for pumping air. It’s better to substitute the other valves.]
2) One-way valves/non-return valves/check valves: maxtechshop on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-16-8mm-Inline-Check-Valve-Fuel-Diesel-Gas-Pump-Liquid-One-Way-Non-Return-/321189616994?hash=item4ac8649d62 . These valves are compatible with 8mm (5/16") i.d. tubing and with the bulb listed above. They have long stems, so the tubing grips them much more securely than those sold by optimalhealthnetwork, which need circlips to secure them.
3) Plastic straight hose joiners/connectors/couplers/adapters: autofittings on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-8mm-to-8mm-Plastic-Straight-Hose-Joiner-Connector-Coupler-Adapter-Vacuum-/360557167345?hash=item53f2e1c2f1:m:mOOk8xeVouZ5iXee2GT9FGA&vxp=mtr . These too fit 8mm (5/16") i.d. tubing.
4) Tubing—silicone, latex, etc.: just search on ebay. It is worth searching for the inside diameter you want in both metric and Imperial units. Tubing is often sold in 3-metre or 10-foot lengths, which can be cut in half to provide two usable lengths.
