Anyone ever find a vintage bag at a drug store?

In the early 80’s, I happened into a Rexall drug store and found a box of Nozzles …black, various sizes and shapes, about a dozen of them. I could hardly believe they were being sold this way. Wish I had had the nerve to purchase them. I left the store with a huge hard on!

Wow - a lost opportunity! Should have purchased the box of them; after all, they are selling them to be bought. Easy for me to say sitting here, ha!

Yes, several times. If I have time to spare drug store, but not the modern chain ones, ones are always worth a look, especially the high or low shelves where slow selling items might be.

Over the years I've found and bought Rexall Petal fountain syringe, a Davol Bon Ton Higgenson, a couple of Shy douches, and a Faultless Spectra bulb douche, and a nice stainless bedpan... and those are just the ones I can remember off hand.

As to having the guts to buy stuff like this. just think of it this way: None of the items are illicit else the store would not sell them. There was a demand else they would not have been made or sold. To the clerk, it's just another sale. To the store owner, any money is better than the nothing they'd get by trashing the item. So go for it!

I did pick up a white Jones irrigator at a “family” drug store a few years ago.

Not a bag, as at the time they were lesser known & used here, but an irrigator. One was a translucent poly plastic apparatus in its original carton & the other was a white 2qt porcelain enamelware unit which I purchased.

Subsequently it was to receive plenty of use . . As did I 😜

Ebay, Etsy and such sites are good sources for vintage enema/douche devices. I have bid successfully for a couple of Venus bag (Same as the previous mentioned HYD - A - Way folding syringe only made of plastic with a cameo of Venus on the cover.), which are mounted in two bathrooms, but I have never used them. I have read where you can occasionally find a vintage enema/douche devise at estate sales; however, I go to estate sales and have never seen anything enema/douche wise. I have seen bidets for sale.

Sad but true. On the other hand, estate sales proved great (at least a couple of decades ago) to finding lots of vintage girdles in near new condition being sold in via thrift shops that were nearby to senior/adult living communities.

Not a drug store but went camping in Nebraska and was in this small town it had a thrift store just loaded with a bunch of old stuff mostly junk. Was looking around and found a newer enema combination douch bag. But sitting next to it was this used comfy bag so I took it up to the counter and bought it. Couldn't wait to get home and use it. Used it about 10 times and then I did something stupid (nothing new) and somehow ripped a big hole in it. Then I went to an estate sales and was looking around and down in the basement on a shelf was a bag called a Tyson bag only 1 dollar

I use that for most of my enemas. The owner even has a piece of string tied in a loop through the hole on the bottom of the bag. I like using it cause I know it has been in someone else's butt. I dont know I'm weird that way.
