We are not pedophiles!!

I'm new here and apologize if I'm treading on ground that has been covered ad nauseum.

Since telling my now-wife about my diaper fetish, she's been very cool with it for the most part. However, for a while about every 6 months she would come out of left field with the fear that my diaper fetish was really pedophilia in disguise. When that happened we would also sit down and have a heart to heart where I would quiet her fears by asking her to really think about what she knows of me and if I she truly believes me capable of something so absolutely horrible.

So, my quest for discussion then is how many in this community have had to deal with similar things from girlfriends, spouses, friends, or whomever? And how did you deal with that and did they ever eventually truly realize the difference in their own minds?

Back to me, I think my wife has grown more and more comfortable with the topic and has realized for herself that the two are not linked in any way whatsoever and that its just not something that I would do. I guess, for her at least, all it took was time for her to put all the pieces together for herself.

I've never had to deal with it directly-- people who knew me and may have known about my fetish were always very discrete-- maybe because they knew I wouldn't stand for any nonsense or they knew I would have confronted them---- My thoughts run something like this. There is no connection-- but there may be diaper lovers who are pedophiles--

just like some people like train rides and may be pedophiles-- but there is no

link betwen the fetish and pedophilia.

Pedophilia is a terrible blight on our society-- but we tend not to talk about it

because it is so taboo-- people need to be educated that it has no connection to

the ab/dl world-- a world where most want to be children themselves or loved or

just wear different clothing.

People who want to label ab/dl behavior as bad belong with the same group that

burned heretics and witches at the stake-- it only proves that ignorance is

alive and well.

However,we in the ab/dl community should be aware of these misconceptions

and do our best to stand up for ourselves whenever we get the opportunity.

Interesting topic, I myself am very much in the closet with everyone I know around me about being ab/dl. So, I've never had such a confrontation. But, it's one very good reason I do keep my secret, not the one and only reason but it's high on the list. I always had the fear people would view me in that light, and I fear people would make that connection first and foremost in their mind. And no matter what I said or did to dispel that, it would still be there. I don't feel I would ever be looked upon the same again. I can't believe someone would really understand what it was about for me. This is just one of those things that has no easy answer to it, or easy way to convey what it is and what it isn't.

I agree gentlemen i do not want anything to do with real babies. im the baby here in my house and i cant find a female who will rape me lol. no seriously i would cut someones throat if i ever seen them harm a kid that way or any other way for that matter its disgusting and horrible for kids to have to go through something like that and i hope they catch all of them and kill em off. But you guys are right there is no connection between diapers and pedophillia. at least for me there isnt.

That is a new one. i don't get that wearing diapers would be considered something like that. i do think though pedophiles are complete scum. you know when a person murdered a child they never feel the guilt or pain like a pedophile inflicts. their day is coming though. sorry about that though my emotions get the best of me

Interesting topic, but i myself have never had even the slightest thought that the 2 could be connected. Oh just for peoples info i am a big fan of CSI, Law and Order, and NCIS. for the csi and law and order i like all 3 programs for each. But i will have to admit there are narrow minded people out there that like to ruin things. I am a DL, beyond that i am kinda into watersports (not waterskiing or the like) and i am in firm belief that pedophiles should be drug out into the street and beaten publicly by law enforcment agencies, although i would not have a problem personally beating a pedophile i think that a public beating should be part of the punishment for being convicted.

I don't think there's a connection at all. The idea of child pornography is repulsive to me. I would say 99% of ab/dl individuals out there are on the same page as me.

This can be a very touchy subject indeed to some. Fact of the matter is thru our eyes their is no connection what so ever with pedophilia. All though thru the publics eyes both are kinda taboo but the connection come from this i think... we like to wear diapers + kids wear diapers = we like kids... it's a crude formula but one that is unfortunately calculated quite often i believe. I also have had to deal with this accusation first hand for that of course being how open i am about the whole diaper thing and their have been times where the situation has need to be regulated accordingly. Even when my parents first found out bout me that was one of the things that horror fide them and it still does to this day but thats prolly never going to change with them or most other senseless individuals. It all come from a lack of understanding and society forcing anything that not of the "norm" into one big sick ass melting pot. Aww well just gota hold it down with the love piece and diaper-ness and as long as we know what we are thats all that really matters.

I think the bottom line is we like diapers and baby items NOT BABIES and Children. I just wish those close minded idiots who don't under stand us would not equate what we like to pedophilia.

Personally I think the connection is silly. Diaper wearing, to me, is a type of bondage. Not a type of pedophilia.

Paedophiles are people who want to rape children. There is no other word for it.

Adult Babies are people who enjoy role playing as babies on whatever level they desire. No children should be involved.

There was a total misperception of gay people a long time ago but now, they are respected members of society (generally) and cannot be discriminated against.

I would hope that like bondage, AB/DL lifestyles are accepted, even if people are not comfortable with it. As long as they respect that some people choose to live this way, and it makes them happy.

The trumph card here is AB'S AND DL'S want to be like the babies or kids who still get to wear there diapers and suck a pacifier,we are in adult size so when it comes down to brass tacks who but us is going to be first in line to defend and protect our smaller idols. Thats right IDOLS you never do anything to damage of hurt your idols do you. To end up any parent who is or was an ab/dl will in my mind make the best parent you have a closer understanding of where your kids are comming from.

I have equal disdain for pedophiles and judgemental hypocrits. What makes are harmless nonviolent "sweet" fetish any more taboo than any other I mean I am not one to judge but when compared objectively so other fetishes there is no blood pain or exchange of bodily fluids no risk of stds or aids when in diapers. and some of the same people who call us weird go to swinger partys or dungeons to see a mistress or even go so far as to let blood and the general public because these things are on talk shows and tv all the time feel it is weird but acceptable. I just beleive everyone should be less judgemental

Well I do think the number one reason we get a bad name is because some people take there desires a little to far. As I do respect thous that are able to live out there disires with out the fear of public judging them. I just wish before they would think about all of use before they go to far.
