For all my physical checkups, the nurse that called my name in the clinic waiting room and escorted me down the hallways and throughout the halls of the clinic was the one who always told me undress to my underwear-shorts after I entered the examination room.
While I was undressing, she is busily writing information on the medical examination form on the clipboard. After that, the nurse would also set up the room for my physical checkup visit. While she was over at the weight/height machine, she would look over and see what state of undressing I was at. As I undressed, I would watch her set out a blood-pressure cuff and stethoscope from the counter area drawers. Again, she would occasionally look over and see if I was undressed to my underwear-shorts.
Once she was done setting up the room for my physical checkup visit, she would always go and get the clipboard with medical form on it and continue writing more information on it. I always remember watching all the nurses do this when I was younger.
At this point the nurse would check my vitals. This included weight, height, temperature, and blood-pressure check. After that she would also listen to my heart and lungs with her stethoscope. When all this was done, the nurse went over to the countertop area of the examination room and pushed a button on the wall. She then told me to sit on the examination table until the doctor arrives. the nurse would stand at the countertop area and write more information on the examination form on the clipboard.
When the doctor arrives, I am still wearing only my underwear-shorts and sitting on the examination table. The doctor looks over at me, says hello and goes over to the sink to wash her hands. At that time, the nurse tells me to remove my underwear-shorts and to lay on the room examination table on my back so that the doctor can fully examine your frontal areas. By this time, the doctor is drying her hands with a paper-towel. She then tosses the paper-towel in the trashcan and approaches me laying on the examination table.
The doctor then begins her full-frontal examination on me from head to toe and not overlooking anything. During this time, the nurse is busily watching and writing information while the doctor continues her examination on me. She also checks my eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. The doctor also uses her own stethoscope to check my heart and lungs. The last area to be fully checked is my genital area. The nurse tells me to spread my legs apart for this check. The nurse continues watching and writing information on the examination form on the clipboard.
Once she was done with the frontal area of my body, the nurse tells me to turn over and to lay on my tummy on the examination table so the doctor can fully examine your back areas of my body. Once I have turned over and am laying on my tummy on the examination table, the doctor begins examining me fully from head to toe and not overlooking anything. Again, she also uses her own stethoscope to check my heart and lungs. The final area to check is my bottom-cheeks area. The nurse tells me to spread my legs apart for this check. The doctor spreads my exposed bottom-cheeks apart with her fingers.
After this, the nurse tells me to turn over on my back and to stand up from the examination table. Once I am standing, the nurse tells me to stand against the examination table, spread my legs apart, and lean over with my tummy against the top mattress-pad. Once I am at that position, the doctor is now standing behind me and wearing the rubber medical gloves. She then tells me to relax, as I feel her hand slowly spread apart my exposed bottom-cheeks. I then feel her finger with the cold lubricant on it as she slides between my exposed bottom-cheeks and her finger slides into my bottom-hole. She does several slow turns of her hand as I can feel her finger inside my bottom-hole. She then tells me she is done, as I feel her sliding her finger out from my bottom-hole and out from my exposed bottom-cheeks.
At this time the nurse hands the doctor several towels. The doctor then spreads my exposed bottom-cheeks apart again and wipes the excess lubricant from my bottom-hole area. After this she tosses the towels and her medical gloves in the trashcan. The nurse then tells me to sit on the examination table.
After this, the doctor would ask me if I had any questions. She would also tell me if she found anything, or if no issues were found from her checkup of me. Once any questions (if any) were answered, the doctor would go over to the sink and wash her hands. She also tells me that the nurse will finish up with any other examination procedures. The doctor then grabs several paper-towels to dry her hands. After that, she said if I ever have any issues to contact us here at the clinic. We will get you setup with an appointment. The doctor then waves goodbye, as she goes over to the hand-sanitizer machine, dispenses some into her hand, rubs then together, then turns to walk out the door.
At this point, if there are no issues, I am then told by the nurse that I can put my clothes back on and leave. However, with most physical checkups there are times where I am required to receive a shot or shots. If that is the case, then I am told that I need to remain completely undressed, and for me to lay on the examination table on my tummy so that the nurse can give me the shot or shots in my exposed bottom-cheek hip area.
During my initial visit to the clinic, I put a statement in my medical records that I requested to receive any shot or shots in my bottom-cheek hip area. So far, all the doctors and nurses at all the clinics have honored this request. Since then, when I am told that I have to receive a shot or shots, I always ask to lay down on my tummy on the examination table instead of leaning over the examination table or counter area. This is in case I get a lightheaded or wobbly legs feeling and end up on the floor.
For me, it's not an allergic thing, just the sight of shots gives me a crazy woozy sick to my stomach feeling. This always happens at every clinic or any medical facility I go to no matter if I am getting the shot or someone else is.
