Enema equipment must-haves/favorites (help me shop for some new gear!)

I am looking to do some e-shopping soon to expand my enema gear collection, but i don't know what to choose and where to get it. so if all the fine people here could help me out with their favorites and/or must have, that would be wonderful. thank you all in advance, and please post links to where the stuff you are describing actually sold.

Some people use an IV stand to hang an enema bag/bucket from, but the IV stand is too conspicuously medical for me to just have lying around my room. I think there are better choices than an IV stand, such as an adjustable height shelf or cart on wheels. For example:

If there is a better idea than something like that, I would like to see a link to it. In this case you just set one of the shelves on the right height to place the bucket on, such as 18" higher than your bed, and wheel it over to your bedside whenever it's time for an enema.

Anyway I guess I just prefer to get stuff like that from amazon because there are usually only one or two options in stores. At least on amazon I can read the reviews and determine which ones actually work, which ones have decent wheels that would not need to be replaced (you really have to look at the wheels on these things. The wheels on the cheap ones are a joke!), and which ones will not collapse or topple onto me as I am trying to take an enema!

I haven't seen one which collapses. I "acquired " mine from work and just tell people who ask that it's for drying my "delicate " laundry.

I think the best nozzle ever is a latex double balloon nozzle. Some of the silicone ones are too big! The latex ones are just the right size and are a pleasure to use.

Easiest first step is searching Ebay for "vintage enema." Usually 1 or 2 pages. The hunt for old-fashioned small-town pharmacies is a dying art -- they've all been replaced by the giant chains. Very rarely at tag sales -- I think if somebody found an enema bag in cleaning out granny's house they would think "you can't put that in a tag sale" and toss it. For real conniseurs, listen for talk of somebody going in a nursing home, or dying, and offer to help clean their house up. Not too likely. (a distant relative went in a nursing home, and we found a bulb enema. Same with a neighbor -- 2 enema bags, lots of nozzles, several colon tubes). Good luck!

Use someone else's old enema equipment? I don't think so. Find an old enema bulb in someone's home? Sorry but that's called theft. There are plenty of new options to try.

Yes, you are right IF you have PRIME, otherwise it has about $23 shipping costs from various sellers.

As a matter of fact, there IS a collapsible IV stand. I have two of them. They are manufactured by Sharps, and I will try to find either a website for them or a company that handles them. You may wish to check out medical supply companies or even pharmacies.

Yes, a couple of latex double balloon nozzles are on the list, the silicone one I have is nice, but it could be a bit smaller and a bit softer.

I'm not in the market for the vintage stuff, as this is for use not for collecting, and I prefer to be the first owner of my enema gear.

I think there are a few pieces of enema gear everyone who wishes to explore further should own. And sadly, they are usually pricier, but worth the cost, at least for me. A bag larger than the standard 2 quarts, and especially if you bought a bag at a drugstore today, because they don't even hold a full 2 quarts. I have bags in 3 and 4 quart capacities. A larger nozzle, is always good to have. A colon tube or two, as they are good for deeper enemas. And a double balloon nozzle, for a good intense large volume enema without straining to hold it!!!

I have become a big fan of colon tubes. You can get them in many widths and lengths. I have been using them for years and really don't use hard nozzles anymore. You may want to have a look at these tubes. They can be inserted deep into the colon well beyond the rectum which gets the enema liquid high into the colon. The other thing I like about colon tubes is that they are bendable and softer than hard nozzles which I think makes them feel more comfortable.

I think the best thing to obtain is a lubricious willing female companion to administer them. Where to find her? You're on your own!

Not being able to get a latex double balloon retention nozzle the next best thing to have a good JBL bag. It seems that you can hold more with one and can control the speed to some extent. A fun variation is to tie the hands of the receiver so they can't get to the valve . . . then the partner can pretty much control things.

I use a Faultless combination enema / douche / hot water bottle, obtainable in most drug stores and probably on line as well. It is a two quart hanging bag with a hook, hose, clamp, and two nozzles, vaginal and enema. It costs around $15. The vaginal is longer and thicker and the water comes out the sides instead of the end but both can be used for enemas. It works well and at that price can easily be replaced every six months when some discoloration or foreign stuff appears in the bag.

Believe Amy is right on track as far as getting started with some basic equipment. Fautless equipment available at Rite Aid, sometimes CVS and almost

always at Walgreen's. If you take care of the equipment will last longer than 6 mos. but at the price for the combination set up can't go wrong in the long run.

The drug store stuff is fine but the online places offer equipment that is more pleasurable to use. I've ordered from Optimal Health Network twice now and have been very satisfied with their products and service. This last time I purchased clear silicone bag and tubing and really enjoy watching the levels drop. I purchased the green barium nozzle 7/8" diameter which is fairly easy to insert and stays in place well. I added a Higgson bulb for some added fun. I expect this equipment to last a good long while.

It seems some of you misunderstood what I was trying to achieve here. Allow me to clarify: I am not new to enemas, and I have quite a bit of gear. I just want to know if there's something else that I might have missed while somebody else considers it to be the best device ever.

I have a large Klystra bag and am very happy with it. A higginson is on its way from Germany as we speak. (How long does it take BTW?)

Also, does anybody know if there's a colon tube with an inflatable ball at the base of it? this would make holding the tube in much easier.

I have said for YEARS that colon tubes should be fat and relatively stiff so they don't kink up inside you.

I have one that is fat and pretty stiff, and it still kinks up. it doesn't have the flexibility to go around the tight corners and folds back onto itself when I apply force. do you have any particular recommendations?

I think what you and I are calling "stiff" are two different things. My tubes would never kink and fold back on itself, they would just stop and not go farther. The compromise is you must know YOUR internal anatomy and be able to massage it around the corners. DO NOT expect your colon to follow the stylized pattern in the text books, IT WON'T. You must use care when inserting.

Also remember with a colon tube one must advance it while the liquid is flowing. This is a bit tricky when you are administering to yourself. Get some lube on it and you're sunk.

Susie, what diameter or French size do you use and consider fat, and what sort of material or stiffness works to not kink up inside?

44-48 Fr and stiff as a minimum--up to 1 1/4 inches in diameter for me. The new 48Fr tubes are lousy and soft, not like the old English colonic tubes from 20 years ago.

Silicone nozzles has great tubes in good stiffness. The thinner tubes need to be stiffer than tubes an inch wide.
