You really should limit temps to 110 degF

Actually, it isn't only the initial temp, it is how long it stays at that temp.

120 degF is rare steak.

I simply don't know how hot the water was. Scalding is above 120 degrees and tap water gets that hot. Each patient died after a protracted course – months in the ICU with perforations, abdominal intraperitoneal abscesses, sepsis, disseminated intravascular clotting, shock and death. It was not a pretty sight. It was a heavy price to pay for a moments carelessness.

It sounds like people like cold metal nozzles, warmed with a pleasantly warm enema. I have done a cool bath with a warm enema.

I have also had a hot 115°F bath with a 100°F enema

I agree. I've heard certain candies are cooked at 110°F.

Once a nozzle or water enters your body it will fairly quickly adopt your body's temperature, so it becomes a matter of how comfortable or enjoyable it is going in.

Sadly time and money do not permit the buying of anything fancy right now. (Kid in college) at some point I would like to be able to buy a few fancy nozzles. There are some intriguing ones out there. Some metal and some rubber. Soon, hopefully soon!

I love my metal nozzle. Feels so cool going in and once the water starts flowing it warms up and feels so nice.

Lately I have noticed an undersupply in metal nozzles: the largest I have is 70cm diameter which I got from a UK fetish store and uses a screw-in adapter from the Cleanstream shower hoses (perfect, no leaks!) This is attached to a bullet vibrator and taped to the hosing, works a treat.

Some years ago you used to be able to get much bigger and longer metal nozzles but the sources for these have disappeared (they were mostly bespoke vendors in the US.) I am also now into colonic irrigation bigtime as I have the Coloclean system and just ordered the new colonic adapter from silicon nozzles for colonic speculums: http://siliconenozzles.com/product.sc?productId=363&categoryId=38 which works very well with the conventional plastic speculums and eliminates the leaks.

However I have been looking into metal colonic speculums of the type you occasionally see in the clinics, sterilisation is not a problem as I have an autoclave and you can always run it by itself in the dishwasher. I did eventually track down one vendor but the price tag was $600 which shows that metal nozzles whether for enemas or colonics are very expensive because of the high machining costs and low production runs, whereas the plastic, silicon and other materials are much easier to make in mass-market volumes. A tragic loss for the enema/colonic community!

Not necessarily. It depends on your insertion technique.

Rigid sigmoidoscopes go in 10 inches just fine and many experienced enema lovers can get rigid nozzles in 12-16 inches.

I just bought the Cleanstream aluminium plug shaped nozzle. I connected it to my bag with a connector I got at Lowes. All I can say is OMG! It is awesome! I love the way it warms up and the way the nozzle feels inside me.

I'm extremely pleased with my3/4 inch silver bullet. Comfortable, nice shape & fits well. And I do enjoy the warming from the solution. Expensive yes, but worth it to me.

Since I've read the cautions about the temperature of injected water from liquidsky, I always make sure I do the "wrist" test on all my injectable fluids and have "toned down" the temperature of all my enemas. Better safe than sorry. Thanks all you medical professionals for helping us play safe.

I have a silver bullet nozzle that was custom made a few years ago. I don't use it all the time, but do like the way it retains heat and it is an enjoyable alternative to the douche nozzle.

I love them! We both savour the nozzle warming up as the enema flows on in. We own several metal nozzles, mostly aluminum ones, but personally my very favorite is the Big Magnus stainless steel enema nozzle. Yum!!!!

Another thread worthy of a re-visit as metal nozzles seem to have risen in popularity over the last two decades in various forms

Anyone who owns a small workshop with a small lathe can have cool nozzles made.

Metal nozzles can also be made from the handles of hand cranks where a pillar drill will suffice.

I made handles like this for my glass syringes and my enema chair. Such handles can be bought in different sizes

Old de-commissioned machinery found in s/hand scrapyards are also a good source for smooth blister shaped handles that are fairly easily converted to “alternative” uses . . . As are old Beer dispenser handles, namely the pull back type 😁

Scrapyards can also provide a reliable supply of both solid & thick walled tubular aluminium pieces suitable for machining economically.

@Aquarius they can also be turned into butt plugs too.

Drilling a hole all the way thru those handles can be a bitch! not to mention the cuss words when the drill breaks inside

The only piece of enema gear I have bought since I became a Mom is a 5-inch flared stainless steel nozzle.

While I have used it several times I much more often use a flexible 5-in “Barium” type nozzle.

They will hold warm or cold temps longer than delrin, and maybe look a bit intimidating

I have a silver bullet and I like the way it warms with the water flow, really gets my sphincter's attention!

The only one I have is made by enemarotica.com. They are still selling it in 3/4" and 1"
