Do you use a a proctoscope for the anal inspection ?

The first thing to use is an anoscope for visualizing just the anal canal. Once that is done a prcctoscope or sigmoidoscope can be inserted. Since it's shorter the anoscope is easier to work through.

Like "liquidsky" said start short and small then go from there. I have ridged scopes 12+ inches long that will open any colon. I also have 3 flexible scopes that will go through the entire colon. very deep!!!!
