Shaving- how far?

I had the same experience. First or second shave triggers lots of itching afterwards, but if you keep at it, the itching and irritation just stops. Now, after so many years of shaving, I have an almost opposite reaction. If I go too long without shaving, I start to feel itchy. A week is about the limit.

I used to shave my entire body except for my head. Allot of work, especially since I'm very dark-hair hairy. My gal would do my back. Like you mentioned, itching and irritation did stop, but I could not go a week without my chest really bothering me. So I never stopped doing my chest.
