Medfet and sexual orientation

After being here a while, I've noticed that there is 4 times more activity on the examinations forum than the gynecological examinations forum. It also appears that there are many more gay men who are interested in medfet than hetero women, and that many of the women who are on the gyn forum are bisexual or "heteroflexible". Many of the discussions on the examinations forum appear to be more lively, and it looks like the men on that forum contribute more whereas the women on gyn forum tend to lurk with the exception of a few women who are big contributors. I was wondering why this might be occurring. My only thought is that people who are gay/bi/flexible are more open about their sexuality and are therefore more involved and expressive on the forum, whereas many hetero women may be shy and embarrassed about having a medfet.

It does seem like there are very few hetro women who are into medfet and are regular contributors. You can see that many of the topics on the gynecology forum are read numerous times, yet there are never as many replies as on the examinations forum. It's usually the same women, many who are bi or hetero flexible, who post on the gyn forum.

It makes me wonder if many hetero women who are into medfet are lurkers or "in the closet" because they are shy or embarrassed. I would think that even conservative hetro women could let their guard down and express themselves in a somewhat anonymous environment like this forum, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Either that, or they aren't as imaginitive or creative as people with different sexual orientations, as the threads on the examinations forum are way more lively and active than the gyn forum.

Just because we may not regularly contribute doesn't mean we're not all naughty like everyone else 😃

Yes I enjoy lurking, but it doesn't mean that I don't find the topics discussed invaluable. Sometimes there just isn't anything more to be said about a topic!

Regardless, maybe this post will poke people to start commenting a bit more.

Thanks RNinCA. I post my ideas about play exams for anyone who finds them useful, but it's exciting to receive appreciative feedback or comments from hetero women.

I do agree with Jds4med as far as men being more into kink, and I think gay men are far ahead of hetero men.

That's a good point. And moreover, when females do post here I've had it told to me that they get quite a number of private mails in the way of 'indecent proposals' in a manner of speaking. They get an inordinate amount of attention and it's not always welcome. This probably from the assumption that if females post on forums as these, they must be 'easy' or looking for action ...

I can't think this must be very pleasant. Therefore a low profile might well be the result.

I suspect you are correct sir, little wonder then that females who might have an interest in sharing or describing their experiences are reluctant to do so.

A very interesting post ! I post fairly often in the gynae section giving very detailed , honest accounts of my very regular gynae appointments. I'm happy to do this. I've had many, many private messages off members saying how much they enjoy reading them. However, for every 5 nice messages you also get a random message in there saying something like " I wish I lived nearer , would love to have sex with you " or other sometimes very rude or very crude comments . I may be single but I'm certainly no easy ride.Sometimes I reply but most I don't give the time of day too. It states in my profile " I love hearing from others and chatting about medical experiences/fetishes ." and believe me I do .A quick " Hi I read your post and I'd like to know ........... " always gets a response from me as does any messages that are nice.Speaking in the chat forums it's exactly the same . Thankfully there is an ignore button in there . Quite often other members (mainly female ) will say " they've had a really weird or rude message "

Maybe your thinking is right and that is why a lot of women do keep a low profile on here. It won't ever stop me posting though ?

So we have 2 different theories about why very few hetero women contribute to the Gynecological Examinations forum:

#1. Hetero women are not into kink or fetishes as much as men, or gay men/women.

#2. There are about the equal numbers of men and women of hetero/bi/homosexual/"flexible" orientations, however the hetero women are intimidated by men, and therefore choose to lurk and not contribute to threads.

I was leaning towards #1, however after looking at some of the threads on the Gyn forum, it's apparent that some are read hundreds of times and still have few responses. That doesn't happen as much on the examinations forum, which leads me to believe it's a combination of #1 and #2.

In regards to women feeling intimidated, I generally never PM a woman unless she initiates contact first, and even then I'm polite and respectful. I'm here to share my ideas with others, and I enjoy reading women's stories, so it's unfortunate that some women can't contribute because of harassment.

I do appreciate women like niknoks who choose to endure the fusilade of unwanted PMs in order to contribute and keep the Gyn forum interesting. If it weren't for women like her, as well as a handful of veteran playdocs, I would have left a long time ago due to boredom.

I've posted before in the gyn exam forums. However, I find it rather tiring to have 15 threads that basically ask the same question, and then have someone expect me to post essentially the same response to all the threads. It's just like with my profile and my blog. I get a message from someone wanting to chat who says that they've read my blog or my profile, and then start asking a bunch of questions that would have been answered if they'd truly read what I've posted.

I'm more than happy to chat with people, answer questions, etc. But please give me credit for having some sense and a brain!

This has been one of the more interesting post. I must admit that I think a lot of the women members that do post on the gynecological thread do get a fair bit of unwarranted personal messages and I feel that has an affect on their future participation as stated by a few of the female respondents.

Another factor to consider is that women generally discuss gynecological matters amongst themselves in a more private setting so that may also influence the amount of participation on a public forum. In addition its still fairly difficult or taboo to admit that they like their gynecological exams, even on a forum like Zity.

As others have mentioned boards like these are dominated by male members compared to females so naturally you would get a higher incidence of male post as compared to female post in any particular area.

As Demure highlighted a lot of the gynecological topics are repetitious with slight variations and so its gets boring to basically rehash the same information time and time again.

So I don't think that medfet and sexual orientation plays a very significant role in one's ability to post on these topics or board.

As far as the gyn topics being repetitious: I think the hetro women need to step up to the plate and help start interesting threads rather than sit back and wait for the few males who are respectful.

I had another thought as well: Although there are some hetero women that enjoy being examined by a male, and there are some hetero men that enjoy being examined by a female; it appears that a majority of the men in the examinations forum like being examined by another male, and a majority of females in the gyn forum enjoy being examined by another female. So far there have been interesting & informative posts from both side's...Niknoks,Demure & RNinCA providing insight from their personal perspectives...Thank you to those Ladies !!...Hopefully their comments also impart upon others the need to be aware of the obnoxious element here....unfortunately it happens...And yes, I am most aware of how they may feel as regards harassment....When female members are constantly subjected to this kind of behaviour is it any wonder many are reluctant to post based on those experiences... irrespective of the "Blocking" facilities available...enough to unnerve some....While others both well acquainted or unfamiliar read the negatives which may influence active participation.

I have discussed this situation at length recently & heterosexual women I had spoken with that DO enjoy Med-Fet do so as a means of personal gratification & tend NOT to write of their experiences due to their desire to remain entirely anonymous for the most part.... .because as explained to me personally "THE CRAZIES COME OUT OF THE WORDWORK" so to speak....Which validates their argument....Bear in mind that behind those keyboards are REAL people...with REAL feelings...REAL emotions...many with REAL family... THAT DO CARE.....Try It !!....play cool & BE NICE.

The bottom line is if you really want to get to know someone or be part of sensible discussion, use common sense....Courtesy is not that hard to do.

RN1993 from his comment echoes not only my thoughts on the subject,but I suspect many others of both genders would be in agreement with those observations.

The problem is that this site will never be entirely free of annoying people. Aside from hetero males that harass females, I find that the site is also frequented by people who are on the site out of curiosity, however they actually have an aversion to medfet either because they are in the medical field or they have a phobia, and they tend to shut threads down with negative comments.

As for the hetero females that are afraid of creepy males on the site: I'm sorry you feel that way, and if I could be a "bouncer" at door to the forum, they would never bother you again. Unfortunately that's not possible, so we have to do the best we can to keep the forum active....

I've usually read the posts that contain such statements or sentiments not so much as 'liking' to be examined by like gender due to any specific sexual orientation, but simply in the sense that they feel comfortable being examined by the same gender because of the intimacy involved in certain types of examinations. A sort of both 'having the same sexual apparatus' thing, therefore no need for shyness or bashfulness.

That's something different from enjoyment. Maybe it's more being at ease with an examiner of the same gender.

Which truthfully I don't share. At least not as a male being examined by a male. I much prefer a female doctor, not only for the fantasy material it provides afterwords, but mainly because they are more considerate and more inclined to take a patient's discomfort or unease into account and they do appear to be more serious and diligent, at least in amount of time spent.

As a gay man: 1) there's the basic question of what this board is for, or welcomes, the mundane, often the usual, or the unexpected, unusual? The physical which went 'sideways' and how so? Or the details of an occupational or draft physical, completely accurate? 2) there's the question, then, of whether certain posts would or could be covered in private, real life, conversations, or only here, anonymously? 3) is there the question that gay men, more than straight men, more than gay or straight women, might ask why? Why did the doctor...? What was that about? What was he or she thinking? Think of why were weigh-ins really naked, not the simple, to cut weight, but any agenda there questioning? 4) gay healthcare is a newer field which gay medical doctors and gay patients are defining, so haven't gay men been pushed into the conversation? 5) there's the question of whether or not gay sex, by stretching the definitions, and, if true, a willingness to explore in actions, more than straight men and women, or a little more than gay women, has plunged into topics covered here more? 6) there's the question of whether or not gay men, more than straight men, women and gay women, are focused on their bodies, in clothes, out of clothes, how their bodies look and function, for which examinations are an everyday action, by themselves, as well as by others? 7) there's the question of writing, putting finger to keyboard, whether gay men naturally do it more than others, since that's a step past reading. But then, I'm a writer.

I identify as queer. I like most people that also identify within the LGBTQ community, as well as those who have knowledge and understanding about that community. My sex is female, but I operate more as a genderfluid. I never used to be comfortable with my body or vagina until a couple of years ago. I believe I am much more open to sexuality and embracing that feels good than most people.

I'd say I'm a mostly straight male, but I sometimes get aroused by stories or pictures of men being examined and sometimes I have wondered what It would be like to have anal sex with a man or being penetrated anally by a women with a dildo so perhaps you could fit me in the heteroflexible category. However I don't fall in love with men and could not see myself living in a relationship with a men, I generally fall in love with females and could see myself living in a relationship with a female. But I guess being aroused by sexual medical play even from an early age since these games often take place with the same or both genders already gives a higher probablity for a men or woman to be heteroflexible, bay, or gay is probable than for those who don't have this type of this. But of course you don't need to have medfet fantasies in order to be a heteorflexible/bi man or woman.

Hetero woman here.. not into gyn (at all). Im also pretty open minded cause I can remain anonymous here so I guess Im into weird stuff that doesnt fit well under any category really?

I'm a 46 year old straight male. Never been remotely attracted to the idea of kissing a man or having oral/anal sex with a man. But for some reason, I'm okay with the thought of another man examining my genitalia, penetrating my anus with his finger, etc. Then again, I'm all for a female doing those acts to me as well. I think my desire to submit to an authority figure overrides my otherwise heterosexual lifestyle. Outside of the realm of medical fetishism, I cannot envision a scenario in which I would be naked and aroused in the presence of another male. Tells me that's a pretty strong urge. I also have a dominant side and I regularly fantasize about giving detailed, embarrassing gynecological exams to women; including my wife. I've never given much thought to the idea of examining another man. I don't honestly know if my desire to dominate (in the med-fet sense) also transcends my heterosexuality. It might take some time on this forum before I can straighten those feelings out.

Well I made up my mind after I joined zity that I am going to write on the gyn topics if I want to put my point of view and I will NOT be put off. I have not even read all the topics yet but I have posted quite a few times on some and I have discussed my experiences.

I am polite and friendly I hope if someone personal messages me and I have made friends some times that way. I have only had 2 personal messages by men who sent me anything I thought was a little bit annoying but I just handled it politely. I am not saying I want to get more annoying messages than I do get hahaha but I think it is easier to handle it here on zity than when somebody makes an unwelcome approach in person. I think I can intimidate men a bit some times in person and I don't know if I do the same thing some times on zity.

I think having men around can put some of us off talking about gynecology issues and some of us are uncomfortable if there are any around. But I think we should not be too afraid to speak up and talk about things.

It is a pity that some female members feel deterred from posting to threads on gynaecology issues. It defeats the purpose of discussion if it is perceived that by doing so, lady members are inviting attention of an inappropriate nature. I have seen how unsettling and disturbing these kinds of communications can be for women. On zity, complaints can be responded to and investigated, but the problem of inappropriate attention and approaches can't be prevented in the first place.

In my wife's case I suspect that her marital status, which is clearly stated on her profile, helps deter pests. We frequently mention each other in posts, and this will also help. I suspect she would receive quite a few more nuisance messages if she had been a single 28 year old who had written the same posts.

Now I do not mind if other male members send personal messages to my wife. She enjoys herself on zity, and as some have discovered, she is lively and she likes a laugh. Her account is completely private from me and she will keep it so unless she feels someone has really crossed the line.

To echo what Dr Stiffler and That Aussie have already said, all I ask is that male members have some class, be nice and please treat the female members with respect.

I will add that if female members feel that they are harassed or keep receiving crude , rude, obnoxious and unwarranted messages from any members be they male or female, then I suggest you contact a moderator for assistance in dealing with this problem. We have an excellent set of moderators for the site and they will certainly address the problem. There are 9 female mods if you would prefer speaking to a female as well as 9 male mods.

I know that as a chat supervisor we take a dim view of such behavior in the chat rooms, especially in the bonus rooms where members have access to the whisper function and have banned a few of the the persistent crude and obnoxious chatters. In chat you also have the option of using the IGNORE/ACCEPT fuction, which allows you to ignore messages from that particular member. To use this facility just Rt click on the individual's name and click on the IGNORE/ACCEPT option.

So please do not " suffer in silence", you are here to enjoy, participate and explore your medfet and you should feel safe and secure doing so.
