Buying diapers in public

I was wondering how others got their diapers. I live in a small town so i know everyone at the store and the closest town is 45 miles away. I have had to steal some diapers even though i didn't want to

I order 75% of my diapers on line or get them on ebay and the other

25% of them i buy at local medical supply stores and special order

the attends at walmart pharmacys...

I wanted to hear about some of you other guys experiences when buying diapers, if that is, anything odd or funny happens at all.

I am typically very anxious or scared when it comes to buying diapers, i have only done this twice. I mean, what does it look when a young, tall, fit, military style guy buys a package of adult diapers? Hehe...so... i usually just work myself up to tear a package open, stuff em in my pants and get out of the store as quicly as possible.

But this recent time im trying to talk myself into just sucking it up, buying a pack so i would have a whole pack and not have to worry about getting arrested...

So...after wanding around the store for about an hour looking like an idiot i finally mustered up the nerve to get the package and just go to the cashier. We'll it wasn't as smooth as i'd hoped, i was shaky and scared to death but luckily i was almost the only one in line and when i got there i forced myself to make small talk to the casheir (a motherly woman in her 40s) she said nothing or asked none of the fear questions (are these for you?) I think she assumed they were for me, she rang me up and then bagged it all for me and when i was to take my stuff she smiled and gave my package of diapers a few motherly pats and wished me a goodnight.

hehe...part of me was like, "Hey...you can be my mommy!"

So now, i have a pack of diapers that i havent even worn cus...while they do excite me, i dont really desire to wear them... just see them or see them on attractive women.

So... I don't know what im gonna do with em actually haha.

What? i dont understand why you would buy them if you or somebody didnt need them or like them.I mean you said i dont like them but then you said she could be my mother. What is it do you like them? we wont make fun of you if ya do we dont care realy. We all like them if you only like girls in diapers thats cool also but you purchased them for what? you say you dont like em, you say your looking for a girl to wear them. then why buy them sorry for sounding mean but i dont get this one my man. to many unsolved mysteries. need more input from ya to try and explain it to us better. me personaly i was at a local walgreens and standing in the adult products isle and this lady comes up to me about 30 something-ish and tells me "i think you need a change you are starting to leak" smiled and walked away. thats about it for me besides the ocasional giggle or stare but usaly nothing but looks and thats about it

I really don't want to get into whether I approve or disapprove on this. But your so scared to go and buy diapers because someone might ask, are they for you? And you're willing to risk stealing them, and being caught. I couldn't imagine the shame I'd feel if I had to be questioned by the store management, the cops, and who knows who else on why I was walking out of a store with adult diapers stuffed down my pants. ??? And then to have that on an arrest record! Please, it's not worth all that. Just buy the darn things, and if anybody should ask why, and I don't think they would, tell them something like I happened to be the lucky guy to have to pick these up for Grandma, grandpa, my sickly mother, whatever. Don't put yourself in such pearl as to steal them though. And man, there's cameras all over those places, the better to see some guy stuffing diapers down his pants with.

It really isn't all that complicated, I do not particularly enjoy wearing or using diapers but I do find them strangely exciting and love to see pretty young mamasita's wearing them, so...I am drawn to them and sometimes feel the slightl odd urge to have them around. I did use to wear and use them and I think i've just outgrown my fondness for that, I don't enjoy the sight of myself in diapers and using them always leaves me dissapointed and with a mess to clean up/hide. I really am not ashamed of my joy of diapers, I let the guilt go a while back and accepted it something harmless.

Oh your right I know, but you know people don't always make the most logical decisions right? Whatever seems easiest at the time, like stealing just one and leaving. You'd be amazed at how many times i've done it though... But......there was this one time at the local store i used to rob hehe. (ROB...WOW...)

I would go there bout weekly and get one and leave and eventually the night guy who worked there everynight started to catch on cus i'm sure he'd find the open packages. and well i think the last time i went there he saw me and ran over to the diaper isle looking for a torn open package asnd woolah...the one night i decided not to steal one...but he was staring me down and he knew i was the diaper theif hehe. I just smiled at time and in my head was saying (HAHA! SCREW YOU! CANT CATCH ME!)

I have gotten over the whole fear of being seen buying diapers. If someone i do actually know sees me with them and askes i will simply tell them that due to stress and worry, my best freind has dealt with cancer twice in his life and is younger than me, i have been wetting the bed.(same excuse i told my mother and my bestfriend)

But as for buying them i just to the store grab a pack walk to the register wait in line put them on the counter pay for them and walk out with them and no i dont try to hide what i am holding

Usaly no big deal for me but there are times when it can be pretty embaressing to me as well. usaly i just buy them and dont think about it, but ther are times when there is young ladies or men standing in line thats when it can be embaressing to me. i dont mind so much the woman seeing me with them after all they probably understand things a little better then guys do. most guys will give me a snicker or laugh but the girls just stare at you to see if you are wearing them, and seeing i am always diaperd they just usaly give me a smile or wink. so like i said it usaly doesnt bother me but there are times when it does

I found the best way. Where I live there's a huge labour shortage so Walmart has compensated by instaling self checkout machines. Easy to use, no one double checks your purchases, its all done yourself! No more apprehension or funny looks from the cashiers.

Well there still is the lady who accepts check or cash p[ayment at the end. also there are sill people behind ya in line but you are right there is nothing to be embaressed about i have never had a single cashier ever ask me anything about my diaper purchases ever. But i get a few stares or giggles from men or women in line once in a blue moom, usaly nobody even notices what your buying so dont be scared to buy em its realy not near as bad as people might think

Actually mamasboy the walmarts around here have self checkout and you have a card reader and a bill ready at the machine so you ring up put in your money geta recipt and leave the person is only there to help if there is a problem and to make sure people arent cheating the system by not ringing everything up. which is pretty easy to do if you have a bunch of stuff

I don't but allot of disposables, and when I do it doesn't really bother me to much, a little though sometimes. But, I never thought about the self checkout for that, that's a good idea, at least for the bigger stores that do now have it. I tell ya these kids have it easy these days, self checkout isles, ordering on-line, I don't know what could be next, diapers in vending machines???

Lol whats the worry? I just go in, pick up a pack and walk to the counter. If they look at the diapers then look at me, I just smile. What can they do? I dont care what other people think.

I normally shop online these days since I prefer better quality diapers, but I was running low one time waiting for a shipment and decided to grab some depends from a Rite-Aid nearby. I grabbed a pack and headed up to the counter to be rung out. As soon as I put the depends on the counter i realized that the cashier looked a little familier. It was then that I realized I was buying diapers from a much older version of one of my fathers friends. He didn't seem to recognize me thank heavens. Not that I really care all that much but I got a chuckle out of it when it happened.

A worse one was shortly after I graduated high school a while back. I was walking out of a similar pharmacy-type store with a freshly purchased bag of depends, just as my old Spanish teacher was walking in from the parking lot. She stopped me and wanted to chat about college and stuff. All the while I was stuck standing there with a package of depends. She talked my ear off for 10 mins, then let me go without even so much as an awkward stare.

Well I have never had any problems with buying diapers. I had a funny experience buying Depends one time when I was about 22. I went to the 24 hour Wally World and took the diapers up to the check out. Now this was a super Wally World so it's an extremely large store and very empty at midnight. So I walk up to the lone open counter and plop the bag on the counter. Well she looks at it and looks at me and says "can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, go ahead"

"Does this brand work okay, my dad uses a hospital brand and they suck"

"Well they work okay but I usually use Abena's which I get online"

"What makes those better than this?"

"Well I have lots of leaks with Depends as I am a heavy wetter, but I am out of the others and my order won't arrive for a couple of days and to tell you the truth I am going to head to the restroom right now for a change"

"Well thanks for being so upfront with me and speaking the truth....that'll be 12.99"

Great conversation when I least expected it and the lady was so genuine and non-judgemental. That by far was the most interesting experience I have ever had buying diapers.

Back when I started puberty, I had this feeling that I would like to wear diapers. I was too scared to purchase any because I would get embarrassed the experience was on hold for a few years.

Some friends of the family stayed at my parent's home and they had a small child still in diapers. I had to sleep in the living room while the friends took my room. I thought that it was ok because a little plan I hatched that in the middle of the night I would take one or two diapers off the package.

During the night I did so and because this happened a couple of decades ago, the biggest diapers were toddler size and unfortunately they did not fit.

This was a let down however some creative thinking I put on some diapers but never the same as a baby and I then never knew of adult diapers etc.

Anyone experienced the same?

If you feel uncomfortable then just say you are buying the diapers for your grandmother or something like that.

I recently bought some disposables from a disability shop. I asked for the super plus large. The assistant asked if I wanted the pull-ups and I said no, I'd prefer the tape together ones.

"oh" she said "you mean like a nappy"

I almost messed myself . To hear a femail voice say that to me was a small thing but also so exciting.

If only she'd insisted on putting me in one.

Next time I'm going to go in wearing one of my terry nappies and plastic pants. The question is, should I wet it first???

99.99% of people in public won't say anything. They're either too busy themselves, or just don't notice. The .01% of people who say something are just assholes who need to mind their own business, and need to be told as such. Clerks can lose their jobs over unprofessional comments, and if you are made to feel uncomfortable, do by all means demand to speak to the manager, and don't leave until you are satisfied. They see people who buy condoms, hemmoroid ointment, KY personal lubricant, tampons, toenail fungus treatment, and jock itch spray. Trust me, to them, you are just another of the hundreds of transactions they will tender during the day. They're too busy worrying about their next smoke break, or when their boss is going to jump their ass next. You buying adult diapers isn't the strangest thing they'll see that day, guaranteed.

Think about it. They have to keep restocking those shelves with diapers on a regular basis, so you're obviously not the only person in your area that uses diapers.

If you see someone you know, most of the time they don't notice what you have in your buggy or hands unless you make some horrid attempt to flee or hide the diapers from them. If they ask, you can tell them whatever you want, truth or fiction, or it's none of their business. (You could always ask them how their sex life is going if they push it.) That usually shuts them up.

Usually the only people who say anything are small children who are too innocent to know your motivation for buying diapers. Their comments are innocent, so take no offense. A good parent should be in control of their child. To sooth the situatuin, you can just smile and walk on by.

In short, no one gives a damn.

I got asked things several times.

When I was 14 and bought drynites for 9 year olds in a local supermarket (were the biggest they had back then) The girl behing the counter said to me:

"My god, you really are a young father!"

I made a joke out of it and got the hell out of there...I had wet my diaper enormously when she said that and had started leaking.

Also when everytime I buy diapers at the local pharmacy they asked what insurance I have, so they repay me....but I'm insured on my parents account still, so really has to be avoided. When you say you want to pay cash they start asking questions....mostly for who they are then.

Easy to say that that isn't really their business.

Earlier this morning I was walking to the CVS to get a fresh pack of diapers. I went to a different neighborhood, one where I was sure I didn't know many people, to pick them up. The whole time I was walking down the street, there were these two girls walking about a half block in front of me.

I was hoping they wouldn't go into the CVS but just my luck, they did. The girls looked about 12 or 13, so as I walked in I was expecting to get giggles and funny looks from them. So I went and got my diapers, and I saw the girls. One of the girls looked at me and I looked at her. We both blushed in embarrassment as I had my diapers and the girl had her Good Nites in hand. To break the tension I grinned and nodded, and let her go first because I could tell she wanted to make her purchase and get the hell out.

My first time baying diapers i was limberest to ask the pharmacist witch ones to by you see my doctor told me to buy diaper's to help with my incontinence problem and i didn't know what to get to make a long storey Short he suggested attends and now i have no problem perching them in fact they usually have them ready for me wen i come in

I have been buying them for years at various drug stores, no one has ever said a thing. Once upon a time I was really nervious about biying them, but not any more. However it still gets me excited standing in line with a bag in hand, especially if I am wearing

I've never had a problem buying diapers in a store. I go in, find what I want, pay for them and leave.

I've never had a cashier or other customer make any comments. The most embarrassing part of the whole thing is the walk back to my car since the plastic bags ( If they even use one!) are nearly transparent, making it easy to see exactly what you are carrying.

I always get a comment about wanting to become a member of the store's secret club... Its like they want me to stay and be humiliated as long as possible.

This last time i bought my diapers, i was doubled up with pampers crusers size 7 diapers. so i walked in and decided i was going to try and buy adult diapers so i didnt have to change as often. so i walked back to the pharmacy section and grabbed a big bag of depends. i had already wet profusely by then and the store pharmacy clerk asked me if i needed any help, i said no and then she said it looks like you need a change. lo no kidding. i wet myself right there and leaked. i turned to her and said well, it looks like i do. i paid for them and left. needless to say i will go back there every time i buy my diapers 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

Normally no one has ever said anything, since I have been buying for over the last 15 years it is no big deal. Usually the clerk asks if I want a bag but anymore I don't bother. Recently though I was purchasing my diapers at a medical supply store (the only one in my area that carries Tena)and wanted two bags of the Tena Ultra Mediums. They only had one bag of the regular absorbency and one bag of the super. Even though I use nightly for my bedwetting I usually only buy the regular, they do the job and are cheaper. The man who was helping me if they had any in the back came out and said they did not have anymore of the regulars. He then stated that most people use the regular for daytime and use the super for overnight so I might consider buying the super. I'm sure he was trying to be helpful and increase sales but I told my wife that I thought I had bedwetter stamped on my forehead! I thanked him for his help and told him I would stop back for another package of the regular.

I buy from a medical supply store. I've gotten to be familiar with some of the people who work there and we carry on a normal conversation...how's your day going...etc.

I went in just last week and bought to packs of Attends and an enema bag...not a flinch. The guy at the register was new and couldn't find the price on the diapers so held them up way over his head to shout to someone to ask the price. When I first started buying, this would have killed me. At this point, I didn't bat an eyelash...the products there are to be purchased. If there was no one who needed them, they wouldn't be there. Whether or not anyone wonders if they are for me or I'm buying for someone else has never come up. I doubt they really care.

I would be a little more concerned if buying in a pharmacy near my own home but only because I would be reluctant to see someone who knows me...other than something like that, relax!

People really don't say anything if you don't act embarrassed they usually follow your lead... one time some drunk guy saw I was buying them and beer and made a dumb commment I told him It happened in Iraq and that shut him the hell up
