It seems for a long time therapeutic massage and sexual massage were unregulated and in the mid 1800's the first trade group for practitioners of therapeutic massage was formed. It seems that to this day, both therapeutic and sexual massage have both existed, though the therapeutic practitioners have tried, with limited success to co opt the title. It is an interesting issue, and it seems that both sides are going to be coexisting for a long time into the future. It seems that the sex workers have not had the gumption to form a trade group and work with no certification.

In my mind, it does not seem too hard to tell what kind of a massage parlor you are going to. Simply asking what credentials they workers have would solve that quickly. Or seeing which practitioners your insurance covers. Unless you are very lucky, that would also answer that one quickly (smile).

For my wife, it depends on what time of year her physical is done. She wears thong panties from late April/early May to late September/early October. The rest of the year she wears other panty styles, such as bikini cut, boy short style, high cut, etc. No matter the style, she always places a disposable pantiliner in them. They do make make pantiliners for thongs, too. The pantiliner helps absorb any lube leakge or spotting from the Pap test, along with normal vaginal discharge.

Me too. As long as they are clean and not worn out.

I wear a thong if I am having a check up with my gynecologist. I do not think it matters anyway because he has got no idea what I wear, he does not see it but I wear thongs nearly all the time when I am out of the house. I do not need to wear anything different when I have got an appointment.

My wife likes to wear convent knickers as insted of a thong or something simler, just as much fun to see them coming off in the exam room !

I always wear panties. I don't have thongs. But panties can have a little fashion kick. A few subtle ruffles in the style of "French Nickers" are fine, but of course no explicit lingerie. That's a no-go for a visit to the doctor.

I barely wear underwear ever anymore, but when I do, it's all thongs, so it would either be that or nothing at all at the dr.

Better quality every day panties. I don’t wear date-night panties but I don’t wear ugly ones either.

I assumed it wouldn't matter in the exam itself if you would be removing them anyway other than maybe the psychology of it.

If the exam was in underwear then I could imagine being semi bare-bottom would feel awkward!

It doesn't matter; the doctor doesn't see my underwear because he asks me to remove all my clothes before starting the examination.

I want to feel confident. I want to feel good. I do not want to feel sexy. I’m not wearing a thong. I am wearing something nice. Even though the gyn never sees them. But I know how I feel. I’m not wearing a ratty pair. I’m not wearing granny panties. I’m not wearing something that I want my husband to rip off me with his teeth. I hope this makes sense.

Also I’d like something a little more full coverage because there could be live leaking from several places. And I don’t want that on my pants.

OH gosh no... For one I really don't want to be sexy... I want to be comfortable... Also, at least for me the actual gyno exam is not sexy, not saying it's not for others here but for me it's really the memory of it... It will be arousing LATER... Now to be completely practical I know I am going to spot and leak so I want a pad with me.
