I was wondering, does wearing latex get hot? I wondering if a catsuit would be hot to wear. And how difficult is it to put on?

If the temperature is cool, I stand a chance of not sweating, but at normal room temperature if I'm doing anything strenuous like flogging my husband I will start to sweat. If I'm just wearing the latex and sitting or mingling at a party, I will just get damp inside the suit.

To don a latex suit, it really helps to lightly lube yourself with silicone like Pjur. Some people like talc or corn starch. If you use a powder, you have to wash it off your suit, especially if it is black because it won't look good, it will look dusty. After you get the suit on, a light coat of silicone on the outside which is then buffed dry will make it shine. If your latex suit is a lighter color, or at least not black, it is less critical to shine the outside before you make your public appearance, but a shiny suit tells the world you know what you are doing.

If you start out damp, like fresh from a shower or even a little perspired, it isn't going on.

As Susie says, using silicone lube is the best way for getting into any kind of rubber gear. The bonus is that it shines it up beautifully too. Be careful if you have hard floors though that you don't slip over!

Talc is an alternative but requires the rubber to be polished seperately to get that shiny look. When I first started out using rubber is used talc and I still associate the smell a little bit with my early adventures!

As for wearing rubber it really depends on what you get up to in it...

Everyone sweats to some extent, whatever they are doing. It just means that because rubber is impermeable the sweat stays inside the suit. I you are getting up to anything kinky I suspect you'll get reasonably warm but it is not an unpleasant feeling at all. As an example, in a recent self bondage session I had to take my suit off in the bath because the built in feet of my catsuit were full of sweat.

The key is to enjoy it. You really won't regret wearing a rubber catsuit. Have fun!

What about body hair--does that become problematic?

If you aren't well lubed, you feel your hair pulling as you get dressed.

Lubing up properly definitely helps decrease the amount of hair problems you might have.

Despite this though I often get hair pulled out as I roll down my stockings when taking them off. A minor inconvenience I'm prepared to put up with!

Another question--I've seen rubber and latex suits. What about Nitrile? The stuff a lot of medical gloves are made out of. Has anyone seen those around?

I don't think nitrile is strong enough or stretchy enough to get the same feel a latex.

Stretch polyurethane is used in some suits but is nowhere near as close fitting as good ol' latex.

Latex takes on what ever the room temperature is. If its cold you get super cold, if its hot, you get super hot. I absolutely love latex as you can tell from my avatar 😃 and have a huge latex collection-the advantage of being a brit! we have the best latex designers! I also make my own when it takes my fancy.

As for putting it on....LUBE and don't rush.

If you're layering latex eg leggings over a body suit, spritz the first layer in water and the second will slide over.

Latex or other rubber clothing is nonporous so water that you sweat has no way out other than to drip down the suit and collect or leak out. Like Susie says, how much you sweat and collect or leak depends on ambient temperature, activity level, how much of your skin surface is covered in latex, and your own propensity towards perspiration. It's an interesting or fascinating material for a number of reasons, and one is that when you first put it on, it usually feels cold or chilly, but due to both sometimes imperceptible sweating and a little bit of heat retention against your skin, you rapidly start to feel warm. But if you're not active or in a warm room, you can get cold again quickly. Reaction to the inevitable sweating is a matter of personal taste. I actually usually enjoy sweating in latex, but some only barely tolerate it. If I'm wearing a lot of rubber and am doing something active or psychologically interesting/stressful, I produce a great deal of sweat which I enjoy, but occasionally I have to take a cooling break or finish the activity soon. This can be anything from sex to taking an enema to being submissive to a Domme girlfriend who wants to make me sweat. All very enjoyable.

If it's hot, I only wear in inside with the air conditioning on. Some people like to sweat inside a catsuit but, for some reason, it's something that I don't like. If I get sweaty, I have to take it off, shower and get into a fresh suit. Sometime I can get sweaty having rubber sex with my buddy but, I don't seem to notice it as much then. lol

I love getting sweaty in rubber becauses when the sweat dries it gets sticky and it is like it's my own skin.

What I hate is taking it off unless i have to. I won't and it can get as sticky, as sweaty, and as stinky as it possibly can I still won't take it off. Until i need to be around other people I will be in latex/rubber.

I have loved latex since childhood. I've been wearing it for decades and I've become so addicted to it that I have to wear it all the time. Latex is more to me than a second skin, it's almost my own skin. Sometimes it's just a small piece like boxers and a t-shirt and sometimes a catsuit.

I love catsuit neck entry, there is nothing better. It's incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.

My favorite is the neck entry catsuit made of 1 mm thick latex, which I put on myself (I can do it quite quickly) but I am not able to take it off myself and I will be trapped in it until someone helps me out. It's amazing to be in the latex you love and to know that you are trapped in it and you can't get out of it even if you wanted to.

A friend (unfortunately only a friend and not a girlfriend) helps me out of it, and she is the only one who knows about my peculiarities. She likes it when I'm sweaty in it and at the same time dry and shiny outside and that's why she likes to leave me in it for a very long time. Sometimes, before she leaves, instead of helping me out, she just announces that I'll stay in it for a while, that she may help me next time, or laughs that she's giving me an extra week of imprisonment.

I don't take off my latex until I really have to, even though I'm wearing one that I can take off, I'm wearing it under my clothes and I'm sleeping in it. I usually wear it for a week or two and then I take it off for a while and do hygiene. After hygiene, immediately back into the latex. My record is trapped in a latex catsuit for 5 weeks, but I've only managed that once. I wear the catsuit out of the summer all year round when circumstances allow. Sometimes I can't wear it because of work, but more often I do. But I always wear it to sleep.

My body is so used to latex that I hardly sweat in it. Yeah, I'm a little wet in it but sweat doesn't flow out of me. The longer I closed and sweaty in latex, the bigger my orgasm later.

About a year ago, I started wearing latex in public. Not a catsuit but clothes that look civil. Latex pants, T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc., and sometimes I only have pants on my catsuit and my top is exposed. I want latex to get into people's minds like normal clothes.

My dream is a completely transparent latex neck entry catsuit, which I could wear even in the summer under shorts and a T-shirt or undershirt. Some are really little visible but up close it can usually be seen.

I have been wearing latex for many years but I have never showered in it before. I tried it for the first time today and it's really amazing. Do you shower in latex?

Even if I think latex is more wonderful than pvc, vinyl or spandex, I cant afford any latex now…..

What happens when you go to the bathroom wearing latex? Especially #2? I get that pee-pee dribbles down to the feet but if you go more than once, does the catsuit fill up?

Getting undressed must be a very sexy interlude if you've been in a latex suit all day! I can imagine a mixed bi-male and lesbian indoor/outdoor party becoming quite intense, even more so than wetting (and maybe going #2) in your panties or clothes. It all sounds like great fun for everyone involved.

Part of enjoying it is sweating inside it. I wore my latex pants under regular pants in the heat and it was fun to feel slippery inside.

Chlorination works really well. You need someplace outside to do it as small amounts of chlorine gas are liberated from the solution. You put the item into lukewarm water, a small amount of soap to lower surface tension, add 3 measures of household bleach and when ready, add one measure of undiluted hydrochloric acid, like the stuff used for pools.

Allow the mix to work for a minute, then stir it the make sure all areas are treated.

1/2 cup acid and 1 1/2 cups of bleach are enough for a pair of catsuits or numerous small items.

I used to visit a professional domme some years back who would at my request dress in rubber (or less often PVC) for our sessions. Although I understood her reasoning she refused to indulge me in this way from about June to Sept her home not being air conditioned!
