Punishments - Who´s Naked or Unclothed?

It´s fairly common to read about members here recounting their own, youthful experiences of being punished. Often this entails enemas, suppositories, soap sticks etc. And also to a fairly large degree it entails being naked or partially undressed while being punished - either by one person or in the presence of several. All embarrassing situations.

Now, I was wondering - I read many of these punishments as being chosen or given for sexually related reasons by the punishment giver. There is some form of sexual factor that influences the punisher - hence the emphasis on nudity and/or public display when doling out the punishment.

So, I was wondering if anyone who was punished in this manner, remembered the punishment giver also being nude or partially undressed? Mind you, I´m not talking about role playing situations, or agreed upon scenarios or such things, but about actual experiences when young and while being punished?

It seems to me that the sexual component of the particulars in the punishment situation are so obvious, that perhaps it also spills over into how the punishment givers (un)dressed themselves. By being nude, partially unclothed or maybe even by wearing some sort of unusual garment (say rubber aprons/clothes, particular types of lingerie or undergarments or whatever.

As a young girl starting when I was almost 8 I often stayed with a neighbor for extended periods of time when my mom had to be away with her job. I was spanked pretty frequently and while I did not realize it at the time I was being spanked by an individual that had a spanking fettish. I was spanked naked and it was all very rituralized. Yes, you are quite correct there was a pattern to how he dressed when I was punished.

I think much has to do with the type of punishment. In a D/s relationship, I can see a punishment that includes having the one being punished stand clothed in the corner while the Top engages in BDSM or sexual fun.

So much is situational.

I'd have to say that there was an element of fetish to my youthful punishments. Pre-puberty it was pretty much just drop your pants and briefs and bend over a waiting lap. As I began to mature it became a ritual of going to my room and stripping naked and then reporting back to a public area of the house to bend over a chair or table and be spanked. This would then be followed by corner time. This occurred most frequently when one or both of my mothers sisters were visiting. My mother usually removed her dress before she took me over her lap for the hairbrush on my bare bottom. She always claimed she didn't want to wrinkle her dress but today I'm not so sure that was entirely true. She always wore a slip under the dress and I enjoyed the briefly pleasant sensation of feeling the silky material against my groin before the punishment began. I only had to bare my bottom for the hairbrush or the strap, but enemas were always given totally naked.

Agracier, my mother generally simply asked me to come to the parents' bedroom (or dragged me there) and then either she or me pulled my pants down and I was over her lap. She was thus dressed in whatever she was at the moment. These were simple affairs.

I think that plays into it. As a child I was usually stripped to my underwear for spankings, and those were pulled down for actual administration. For enemas I was naked, even as a teen.

Baring one's bottom as an adult seems a necessary part of a spanking. My husband always requires it unless we are in a mainstream public place. None of us children in the family were spanked, so I cannot talk from personal experience.

However on the matter of being spanked/punished in front of other members of the family, I rather think many of those stories to be true. Especially if for instance there were a large number of children. When you get the old sized families with 8, 9 or 10 children, I suspect spanking in front of the others is a way of (hopefully) teaching them all a lesson at the same time and so sparing yourself further effort later down the line. Having so many kids is exhausting enough, even if they were all little angels.

And besides that, i still bet that there were parents who got some sort of satisfaction out of doing so.

From the age of about 6 or 7 until graduation from High School, my punishment and other enemas were administered with me being undressed. As an adult, I still prefer to be naked for my enemas.

Not many of the replies on this thread answer your actual question, but I can relate one example of what you were actually asking about.

Growing up, I had a friend (a boy) who had an older sister and a younger sister. When they got in trouble, they were required to report to their father's workshop, already stripped down to their undergarments, at a specified time (usually 7pm, I think). Therefore, if all three of them were to be disciplined, all three of them would strip in their bedrooms and then make their way through the house and out to the workshop (at the back of their property) at 7pm. Mr. Lathrop was the disciplinarian, unless he was unavailable. If he was administering a paddling or strapping, it went about as you might expect... one at a time, each kid would come forward, bend over the saw horse, have his or her underpants/panties lowered, and receive his or her swats from their fully clothed father.

However... On those occassions when Mrs. Lathrop was the disciplinarian, the ritual unfolded a little differently. She would always arrive in the workshop with a 3 foot long (approximately) stiff-but-flexible freshly cut "hickory switch" (not necessarily cut from a hickory tree, but called a "hickory" switch nonetheless). She would then say, "Okay, time to get stripped and striped." At this point, my friend and his sisters knew they were required to remove their remaining undergarments (underpants, bras, and panties). While the kids were removing their undergarments, Mrs. Lathrop would remove her dress and hang it on a hook in the workshop. At some point, when they were quite young, she had made some sort of comments that her dresses were very tight (which was true -- she almost always wore those expensive tight-but-conservative dresses that buttoned up the front), so she needed more flexibility, didn't want to rip her dress, or get it dirty... which seemed reasonable to the kids, I guess. Anyway, she would give the kids really good stripes across their bare bottoms while wearing only her bra, panties, and shoes.

I have first hand knowledge of this because I once spent about 10 days with the Lathrops, and got into some trouble with my friend and his younger sister. Parents back then in my community didn't give or request explicit permission for kids to be spanked (if you misbehaved, almost any adult who had authority over you at the time would spank you)... and although I was surprised that Mrs. Lathrop took off her dress to administer the hickory switch, I didn't think too much of it. I do want to emphasize again that "good whippings" for naughty boys and girls was standard operating procedure back then in our community. And, it stands to reason that the disciplinarians were also often experiencing some sexual tension/arousal. I think it was believed that "good spankings" were an effective and healthy way to administer discipline/punishment, and the sexual tension was simply acknowleged as natural and not considered unhealthy, so long as it was kept under control and certain boundaries were maintained.

Thanks for the detailed account. This is indeed the kind of experiences I was interested in hearing about. Although I was never spanked when young, a situation like the one you described would certainly have left an indelible impression, especially sexually.

The only thing I was remotely in was when an aunt and her household help would also strip down to (voluminous) undergarments when giving us youngsters a bath. That was done so as not to get her outer clothes wet - also a reasonable enough explanation.

When I was very young, one of my aunts, sometimes in league with my grandmother, would give and my cousin suppositories prior to giving us a bath. And the aunt in any case would also strip down to her undergarments. This meant nothing very much revealing in practice as her slips and other undergarments were quite voluminous and covered her up pretty much as with 'normal' clothes.
