Inexpensive medical TENS units don't produce the erotic feellings that sexual units are designed to produce. Medical units are meant to deaden nerve responses. Sexual units are not.

I currently have an OTC TENS-7000 and got it from Amazon for ~35.00... It's perfectly capable of causing me to have an orgasm and the GF likes it just fine. Hello. I'm new to the forum (found it googling e-stim for women). I'm curious to try e-stim for the first time and see if I like it.

I've read a few threads at various places that weren't helpful. Get one that has at least two channels and offers multiple settings/ programs. In keeping with your budget you will be shopping the lower end and as in many cases you often get what you pay for. Last year I purchased a couple of e-stem toys from Allegro Medical (big internet mail order company) for around $30 each. They were two channel with a couple of programming options. These work great and should be ideal to experiment with. Good luck.

Happy Stim is a great place to buy despite the very web 1.0 appearance. They have the best prices on e-stim stuff without having crazy adult store markups.

For you to get started, you'll want to be sure to have a couple sets of sticky t.e.n.s. pads on hand as you'll be using at least 2 per session. You can reuse them a few times but they are a consumable item. The electro conductive silicone rubber is a much more durable electrode once you get into things.

Prep wise, you'll want to be sure you're totally shaved for the best contact and sticking power with the electrodes. I'd start with two electrodes (a pair off of one channel) on either side of your clit about where the internal "legs" of the clitoris are situated. This is the configuration that most women report works for them.

I have a Zeus power box which was in the price range you mentioned, it came with reusable rubber pads but I have made my own contacts out of heavy copper wire and copper sheet.

Sorry for not replying sooner, my browser crashed and I'd forgotten to bookmark this forum. Anyway, I did get the Tens 7000 and a vaginal probe. I'm having some trouble with using them, though.

I can get a nice, strong feeling with four pads making an X around my clit/vagina. However, I want a deeper feeling. You don't feel anything between the pads, only at them unless you have a very powerful unit. The sensation is mostly at the pads.

Loose pads make for hot spots and they hurt.

If two pads touch you will short circuit the machine. Try to avoid that even though the good ones seem to be protected against short bursts of touching.

The Erostek 312B is the best of show, though expensive. I started out with dyi equipment, a car stereo power amp, 70V output transformers and ran it off a 12V burgler alarm battery. I used some great waveforms off the internet and used a diskman as a source. It was a great introduction but it was easy to go from exciting to painful quickly. I finally broke down and got the Erostek which is a lot safer because the duty cycle is controlled. That is the part of the cycle time the stimulation is on verses off. This helps prevent overheating whatever body part is in contact--a real consideration for an anal probe for instance. It will take external sources and I rarely use the internal waveforms, though they aren't bad.

From my point of view it isn't possible to do e-stim without any experiments because each person in this style of giving selfpleasure is different. I use for example not expensive device.

Experimentation is key with e-stim as we are all different. If you have never tried it before then I don't recommend buying one of the really expensive units.
