Socially Acceptable

If Diapers were socially acceptable, would you wearing them out in the open. I would wear them out in the open like a normal pair of short shorts, hot pants. Wear them in public and where ever you go.

I do wear them out in public but under jeans and or shorts.. I've been all over town in mine haircuts, shopping and bowling.

I want to make this straight....I am not writing this as an attack on Diaper wearing People, as I feel to each their own. However I do not see or even understand how Mature, grown, individuals would want to run around wearing Baby diapers, Pooping and Peeing in them like infants, Wearing infant clothes, and drinking out of baby bottles. Likewise are men who need to be sissies and wear girls panties, stockings, and dresses with other womens things...and then outside of it are Macho...If you want to be a woman then fess up to it and change over. I do not think these actions will ever be socially accepted.

For myself I am an AB (adult baby) and I prefer cloth diapers and plastic pants along with toddler style dresses that are short enough to show them. My reason for indulging this fantasy started by being jealous of my baby brothers and every baby/toddler wearing cloth diaper plastic panties and the attention they got from girls , teens and women in general. Now I feel it's not want to feel myself getting older. I once tried wearing girls panties thinking that they would make feel like a girl but they didn't ( not like diapers and plastic pants made me feel like a baby/toddler). Sometimes I think people like to dress as babies and/or women just to feel like someone else or like a female. I feel that there are more harmful thing that people can do to themselves or to other people. If it doesn't harm or offend other people and it is done in private or at least with good taste why should it matter?

I do wear tena maxi pads under my clothing now but yes I would like to see it being more socially acceptable.

Yes I would: I don’t see the difference diapers or short shorts. I would love to just wear a diaper and tee out front of my home without everyone freaking out. I will in my own back yard but I feel if you look over the fence it’s your problem.

It's why during the Summer, I wear diapers just like hot pants and Short shorts. It's very normal for me and very comfortable to wear my diapers like a pair of short shorts and hot pants. Even look at women and young girls that wear short shorts and hot pants today. They almost look like their wearing a diaper. Which is why I think if society let's women and girls wear short shorts and hot pants in the open, then they should allow people to wear their diapers in the same fashion as Hot pants and short shorts.

Socially acceptable compared to what? I would wear my diaper much more often, at home when my wife is home, & much more outside, but under street clothes.

So lets ask the next question; Would it still be as much of a kink if they were accepted?

I do not wear diapers because they are a kink and I am trying to get in someones face, I wear them because I like them. That said, society would not think of them as a kink, but they would be just as fun if not more fun, because we could enjoy them more freely.

If they accept bikinis but not bra and panties outside, they can accept diapers.

Which is why if they can accept Bikini's, Hot pants and short shorts, then society should not have any problems with adults wearing diapers as well. Remember those hot pants and short shorts of the 60's and 70's, cause they almost look like wearing adult diapers today.

I think the main reason visible diapers at the beach and pools are not acceptable is most people don't want to be in the presence of excrement and they don't want their water contaminated.

Hot pants and short shorts don't look anything like adult diapers, and again, they don't contain excrement.

Bikinis and bras are accepted because they are essentially underwear and don't have excrement inside them. Also, most public pools, in my area anyway, won't allow diapered children into swimming pools for just that reason, and I don't see why diapered adults wouldn't fit the same category, and no, plastic pants do not contain the contaminants once the person is immersed in water.

Switchabesusie made some valid points about beaches and public swimming pools (and I agree, health considerations for others should keep a diaper wearer out of the water), but those aren't the only two places a DL could wear his/her diaper. And wearing does not necesarily equate to wetting or messing. A lot of the fiction concerning this occurs in shopping malls or at city parks where there are no pools, and it's said that art imitates life.

As to publicly and noticably wearing or using a diaper - I really don't know if I would or not. For me one of the reasons for AB/DL play is the attention my partner gives, and I'm not interested in anyone else's attention in that arena. Another reason I enjoy it is because it *is* something most of society frowns upon. Or would if they knew about it. Playing an illicit game can be part of the fun. Of course, there is the submission and, at time humiliation, factors to consider, as well.

Have you discussed this with your partner(s) to try to understand why they and you enjoy it? And rimming is not something I'd do, but your profile says you enjoy everything to do with it. I'd never tell you I don't understand your desires; those are for you an your partner and none of my business. I would certainly wear them more than I do now in public. But as an adult, I don't think I could ever wear them in public, with out clothes, because I don't think a wet diaper would be socially acceptable.

I am incontinent and wear diapers and plastic baby panties all the time. I have worn them hot days out side with just a tee-shirt and my shoes on. Everybody could see my diapers. I have never had a problem about it. The only time anyone ever said anything was one when I went shopping at WAL-MART wearing just my diapers, plastic panties, tee-shirt and my shoes. I was wearing clear plastic panties I had just wet my diapers and you could see I had done so. I was looking for a place where I could change my diapers when a woman I didn't know walked up to me and said I am a nurse. I can see you have a peepy diaper on if you will let me I can help change your diapers. I let her help me change my diapers. She said she didn't mind helping me change my diapers as a nurse she said she seen more adults having to wear and use diapers all the time. She told that about 14 million adults have to wear diapers in this country. She pointed out that Wal-Mart and even Safeway now have large a secletion of adult diapers. As she was changing my diaper she said there is nothing to be embarrassed about if you have to wear and use diapers just except it. She told me if I except having to use diapers so will other people. She said they will thing you have a medical problem that make you have to wear and use your dippers. Which of course you do have. Seen then I have never had a problem about other people seeing my diapers. If anyone else has a problem with it it is their problem not mine. I just except the fact that I have to wear and use my diapers.

I totally agree with you. I'd wear them out in public like a pair of shorts. I would add a good plastic pants as well or a good pair of onesies. The way I see diapers, I see diapers as a pair of shorts and underwear in one. It's why I believe diapers should be accepted in public and their should be more advocacy for adult diapers in public. That's cause we know the Baby boom generation is ageing and Adult diapers will become more common with the baby boom generation. So it's why I believe diapers should be accepted in public.

Then again, women wear short shorts so high up, it makes it look like they are wearing an underwear. Which is why I am all for anyone who wears diapers in public and should be treated as if they are wearing short shorts or hot pants.

If diapers were socially accepted,i would wear my diapers and plastic pants in warm weather outside.but I don't think it will ever be that WAY.i wear my pants or jeans over mine and at times carry a diaper bag packed in case I need a change.

Probably sometimes I would. But, for me, half of the fun is knowing that they aren't socially acceptable and occasionally doing it anyway.
