Seen someone you know online (nude)?

Just wondering if anyone has seen someone they know online, naked in a photo or commenting on some explicit topic?

As I browse the many sites and photos (and there are hundreds of thousands now, perhaps millions?) that are online, I sometimes think that I'm bound to come across a photo or a post by someone I know or used to know. It hasn't happened yet. But it must happen to people,right?

Is there anyone out there who has seen encountered someone they know?

A friend?

A relative?

A former lover?

An employee or boss or co-worker?

A neighbor?

And if you have, what was your reaction?

Did you tell anyone or share your discovery?

Did you ask the person about it?

One time, I found a nude picture of a gal that had worked for me (computer sales) and then had moved onto management. It was a few years after I had left that company and lost touch with her. I knew that she was a wild child and tried my best to, shall we say, do the deed, but there was a waiting line, although I did get invited to a "party" that her and her girlfriend had, but alas life prevented me from going. Once saw the a former next door neighbor's daughter and her friend naked in a magazine. They'd both left home for supposedly good jobs in London and shared a flat together. This was back in the late 60's / early 70's and the pair of them were in a photo shoot spread over several pages in Health & Efficiency which was / is a naturist magazine. The pictures were all black and white and any pubic hair had been airbrushed out. I lost the magazine in a move but still look for postings of old copies of the magazine but have never come across this particular issue - although it would probably help if I knew which one it was!

Not quite an answer to your question, but every now and then I come across photos of myself on tumblr. Seems that back in the day (about 2003 − 2010) I was so completely stupid and naïve that I’d tell Top guys who’d been over for a visit “Oh sure, go ahead. It has happened to me once. I was surfing the net one night and happened to come across some pretty graphic pictures on Hustler I think that were linked on another blog site. I think it is very interesting how certain people have no problem posting all kinds of pictures of themselves anonymously, but they still would not want anyone they know to recognize them. What's the difference? That's not a rhetorical question. I actually wonder about that. They're showing people the same picture either way, so what does it matter if the person who sees it is someone they happen to know? Is it that people they don't know are not real to them, and that they do not feel as if they are real to those people they have not met?

As Bob Dylan said, So what? There's a million, thousand, billion, there's just so many persons outside. And you can't know them all, can you?

Anyway, I think that if you enjoy sharing nude/pornographic photos/videos of yourself, you might as well. You are sharing it on websites where porn already exists abundantly, and people visit specifically in order to see that sort of thing. It's not as if you are just sticking photos in unsuspecting people's mailboxes. That is the type of situation that would be wrong.

Right indeed. Sometimes you read in the papers about people being so outraged when nude pics of them turn up somewhere. Sure, it would bad if they were stolen pix or taken surreptitiously. But if they were shared and then the person has a change of mind, well tough cookies.

But I think that by causing so much fuss, they are making themselves better known than would ordinarily be the case. With all the gazillion nude pix on-line, they are just drawing more attention to themselves.

I sometimes have to think back on the practice of taking posture photos in some universities in the past, nude photos of all students. It might not be a bad idea to re-institute the practice, get people used to the idea of nudity again.

When nude photos are stolen, that is another thing because the pictures are being shown against the subject's consent. No matter how acclimated people are to nudity, it is still a violation to some extent when a sexual side of a person is put on full display to others, against that person's will.

Like I said, I just think it is interesting how certain people want their pictures to be seen and they share them with the internet at large, but they still do not want anyone they know to see them. It's as if when someone they know happens to recognize them in a picture, they might regret that person seeing it, but if they never met that person, they wouldn't care about that person seeing the picture.

I should add that I know this is not the case with everyone who shares pornographic photos of themselves.
