I learned so much when I worked for the Optimal Health Network.
I must say, we have some very bright members here. I'm so proud of you all for the great answers. Okay, I have the warm fuzzies! LOL!
What I have to say, some may disagree with. Many of you that had enemas as a kid may have shared enema equipment with the whole family and never got sick from sharing enema equipment. That could be just luck because sharing can be dangerous. Everyone needs their very own enema equipment. If we don't share tooth brushes, we shouldn't share anything we put up our culo. (ass in Italian!yes, I'm a hot blooded Italian!)
If money is a problem for the whole family to have their own, at least there are the enema bags you sometimes can buy at the drug store. It could be if you have to share a bag is to have your own hose and nozzle in case of back flow.
Another thing is how to clean your bag. Don't clean it with anything harsh. Lavender soap is great to clean a bag with because lavender is a natural cleanser. Anything you don't put up your culo, don't clean your bag with. A cleanser can absorb into a rubber bag, and can get into you. If you use an enema can, that is much easier to clean.
These are things I learned from OHN, and I agree with what they say there.
Again, many may disagree, but we all are adults here and need to use your own judgment. I play it safe and use natural things to clean equipment with, and clean myself! So I suggest to someone new to enemas is not to share enema equipment, and use a natural cleanser to wash your bags with.
Enemas can be confusing to someone new at it. There are many things we need to know to keep it safe and healthy.
Bottoms Up!
