Role reversal

My ex and i were together for a few years but struggled the entire time. i was the dominant one (by circumstance) and it just never worked. i tried to get him to take the lead sometimes, but it just never happened. since our breakup i have tried to build him up and get him to realize that he is the man. i think it is working because he is beginning to do things that reflect dominance.

my question is...can the roles be reversed successfully?

ABSOLUTELY. My husband and I switch all the time.

I used to be a severely dominant (in the bedroom anyway) person with my husband, as I was with all men if we got into S&M. I taught him how to dominate me by my dominating him from the bottom. "Tell me to do this, or that, etc., then hit me or strike me with a cane or flogger, tie me tighter, don't worry, I'll be fine (I hope), etc." After a while he learned, and now he can be as severely dominant as I am. It just takes some practice.

The fact is, it is more relaxing to be the submissive. Dominating, if you're good at it takes a lot of work. To be a good submissive, all you have to do is relax, give up control over your body and let things happen to you. Fall into subspace and you enter heaven.

On the other side of the coin, flogging someone while administering a pepper sauce enema until your arms feel like they will fall off is also a great turn-on and the endorphins from your exhaustion will also bring you a high.
