Inhaling/swallowing "Farts"

One of my partners insists that I must either inhale nasally or swallow any of his farts regardless of how obnoxious they might be.

Apart from obvious hygene issues, anyone aware of any risks in doing this please?.

Well, when you SEE something, the light that is reflected off the object enters your eyes so you can see it. The object never enters your body.

When you SMELL something, the actual thing making the smell enters your body and lungs. Therefore, a nasty fart will contain bacteria as well and the odoriferous chemical compounds and inhaling it straight from the anus will definitely mean you are bringing potentially pathogenic bacteria into your lungs. I wouldn't do it.
