Will this buttplug ever get comfortable?

I just bought a Doc Johnson Classic Butt Plug (large) and tried it out for the first time today. I must say that the picture makes the plug look a lot smaller than it is.

Anyway, I worked it in and I'm sitting here at my desk with it in right now. This is the first time I've attempted to wear one for any length of time other than when masturbating. When I first got it in, my mind was screaming, “take that thing out now!”, LOL but I kept it in and feels pretty good. A bit uncomfortable if I move around a lot but good.

My question is, will my body get used to this to the point where I can wear it with no discomfort? Don't misunderstand, I don't have any pain, just a little discomfort. I've had lots of dildos, vibrators and other things up there but nothing quite this wide.

You will get used to it. Give it some time.

My sub has "complained" about the shape of many butt plugs. The base is too "chunky", the material too inflexible, or the designers of the plug have not put a comfortable angle on the plug to have them worn for extended periods. Do some more shopping (whether online or in person) to see if another(s) plug is more comfortable to you (you can then poke and touch the plug to find one a more comfortable to your body). Or as susie suggests continue training yourself to become more comfortable with the one you have by wearing it more.

I found the source of my discomfort. It wasn't the plug at all. It's really soft on the outside and gets a bit firmer on the inside so it's fairly easy to insert. I don't know how to put this delicately but here goes. I kept getting this crampy, bloated feeling and it get kept getting more pronounced so after 2 hours I decided to take it out. The problem was gas, LOL. Thankfully I took it out while standing in the shower and I had a small enema prior to inserting the plug.

Can you recommend a medium sized plug? Ive had a small one...no problem...butt cant get the larger one in. Do you force it? Are there better plugs to work up with? Thanks in advance!

I find the Doc J classics to be uncomfortable period. The shell material is a bit too hard/inflexible, the neck is a bit short, and the imprinted logo on the base feels scratchy against my anus. Not a bad plug, but you may want to try other big plugs in different shapes, or materials.

Gas is "why" vented plugs are made.

It's why the old "Young's Dilators" had a vent hole.

And it will become shortly after using one likely apparent that something needs be done to keep undies clean when using vented plugs. I've used tampons in the Young's style Dilators. That's why my habit of using a "Belted Napkin" for both cleanliness plus "gently holding the toy in" factors came to be. Yes, training is the key - the more you wear it, the more comfortable it gets.

I also had problems keeping my "Big end" in for longer periods, mostly because I felt the neck was too short and thus the plug kept the inner sphincter partly open. The sensation is amplified when walking and the urge to get it out is gets even bigger.

By wearing it more you get used to it, your butt adapts, and you learn that walking is easier if you clench it tight BEFORE you begin to walk.

What I have found is that once the plug gets comfortable, you need to get a slightly larger size to get good stimulation. I like having an examiner insert a plug after the exam is over.
