LADIES - Frog leg position

When I was younger, my pediatrician’s office also used the “frog leg position” during parts of my exam. Honestly, I never felt comfortable in it. It always seemed odd to me, and as I got older, that discomfort didn’t fade - it actually grew. I remember feeling tense and distracted, like I was more focused on how the position looked or felt than on anything the appointment was for.

I also wasn’t the only one. A few friends told me they’d experienced something similar (like others here also already said), and hearing that helped me realize I wasn’t imagining it or being overly sensitive. Still, even if a procedure makes you uncomfortable or even a little embarrassed, there are times when it’s necessary. Over time, I’ve learned to separate “this feels strange” from “this has a purpose,” even when I don’t enjoy it.
