J-lube is frequently mentioned on this board as a good lube for the serious anal player.
Its advantages are that it is
extremely slippery,
water-based
does not stain
and very cheap
Others however object that it is a nuisance to prepare.
Below I describe how you can prepare a quantity of J-Lube for a session of anal play or fisting in only 5 minutes.
The quantities I mention are based on J-Lube's own recommendations.
As I have no imperial measures easily available these instructions are given in metric units.
For the sake of simplicity I describe how to make a litre (1000 cc) of J-lube. In practice a litre is rather too much for use in a single session and I normally prepare J-Lube in batches of 500 cc.
What you need:
Ingredients: 80 cc of J-Lube powder, 1 litre of aerated mineral water.
Utensils: A kitchen measuring beaker with sufficient markings to allow you to measure off 80 cc of J-Lube powder (a pyrex measure for example).
A high-sided mixing bowl or cup, with a capacity of somewhat more than one litre.
A powerful handheld blender (e.g. Bamix) with the stick attachment.
Method.
Measure off 80 cc of powder.
Tip it all into your blending bowl.
Add about a third of the mineral water.
Blend with the blender.
You will very soon have a very thick elastic paste.
Slowly add water.
Keep blending making sure that all the powder is wetted and that you don't let any lumps form
Keep blending and keep adding water until your litre of water has all been added.
You will have an opaque bluish white liquid. There will be a layer of bubbles on the top.
If the bubbles threaten to overflow, pause and let them subside.
Try not to spill because this stuff is sticky.
Once you're satisfied that everything is properly mixed you can leave the mixture to stand.
The bubbles will subside in about half an hour.
Pour into a receptacle for storage.
I usually pour it into a chef's squeezy bottle for easy use later.
If you are worried about sterility, pour your mix into a microwavable container and zap it in the microwave.
Heating the mix has the advantage that all the bubbles come out quicker and any small lumps will dissolve.
A litre will take a little over 5 minutes to boil in a powerful microwave.
Make sure you don't let it boil over because you will have a job clearing up afterwards.
If you have made too much, J-lube keeps well when frozen.
Important: J-lube can be thinned, but it's very difficult to thicken up. It's better to make it too thick and thin it by adding water and blending, than trying to add powder. If you add powder these will instantly make lumps that are almost impossible to remove.
Tip: J-Lube is easiest to mix in a tall thin receptacle rather than in a shallow bowl. This is because in a tall thin one the powder will be concentrated under the blades of the blender, whereas in a shallow bowl the powder will be scattered and tend to form lumps.
Start thick and gradually dilute!
