This topic actually makes me smile. When I got married the husband was a very cuddly person. I absolutely couldn't stand it. Every time he touched me I woke up. I just wasn't used to being touched while I was sleeping. That and the fact that I was hot all the time and just couldn't stand to have skin on skin contact. I was so anal about it at one point I threatened to put a line of duct tape down the middle of our king sized bed and was going to dare him to cross it. Honestly, I did end up rolling up a blanket and putting it down the middle of the bed. It worked.
Currently the blanket is gone, he's learned where the line is. I met Doc 5 years ago and the first time he spent the night with me it was heaven on earth. I after 17 years of hating and not allowing to be touched in bed, couldn't seem to get close enough to him while we slept, and neither could he. I told Doc when we first started dating that I hated to cuddle, didn't really care for hand holding, public displays of effection and the like. Well, not sure if I have just changed as a person, or if it's the fact that I am actually really head over heels in love for real, most likely the latter, but I love all of it, and to my surprise, so does he.
We always joke that we would be very comfortable sleeping together in a single bed, but I think both of us believe this to be true. Everyone said it would wear off, that we were just in a honeymoon stage, but it's been 5 years already and we still can't get enough of each other. I love to cuddle with Doc, boy, I never thought I would say that lol.
