Young patients at proctologists

Has anyone ever seen a proctologist at a young age, say under 30? if so did the doctor provide a gown or sheet, or were you totally naked during the exam? Also would love to know of any young proctologists out there, male or female. I wonder if many young gay guys become proctologists. And are the exam tables in proctologists offices flat like regular ones or can they tilt a lot?

I've had issues with hemorrhoids for as long as I can remember, so my first proctologist appointment happened before I even turned 18. I was scared and didn't know what to expect. After the initial talk, he told me to go behind a screen and take only pants and underwear and put on a gown. I'm sure most people imagine they'll be on all fours or some other weird position, but he had a regular flat table and he specifically told me to lie on my back, normally. Then he told to lie on my side, facing away from him and bend one leg. And that's how he performed the rectal exam. It was a relaxing position and I was surprised it didn't hurt as he was quite gentle.

I've seen several proctologists since then. In one office, the nurse told me to take pants and underwear off and sit on table with just a sheet to cover my legs. That table was different. It was flat, but had an L-shaped platform in one end. When the doctor came to the room, he told me to kneel on the platform and put my elbows on the table for the exam.

Yet another office had a different procedure that was slightly embarrassing. The male proctologist had a female nurse assistant. When I came to the exam room, she told me to lower my pants and underwear down and lie on my side on the table. She stayed in the room for the show and placed a sheet on my legs. Then the doctor came in and performed the exam while she assisted him. That doctor always made a point to say how "tight" I was...

I have seen several proctologist starting age 23 for problems in that area. In most of the cases I was examined while lying on the left side. Only twice doctors used special tables with stirrups.

There was a proctologist in my city's phone book when I was growing up. I considered riding my bike to the office park where his office was and hiding out in the woods with binoculars to see how often young patients went in there. Im mostly gay but it was a turnon for me to imagine teens and 20s boys and girls getting rectal exams naked in there. it was arousing enough going to a pediatrician who did not provide gowns for anyone and did rectal exams but I always assumed anyone going to a proctologist would have to get completely naked and lay on their stomachs before the dr came in. Of course that may not of been the case. Do any young people on here have proctoligst experiences? Now there are few of them and they are usually lumped with gastro docs

I've been to a proctologist. I was draped for an anoscopy. It wasn't particularly fun but was really no big deal. We don't do exams with patients naked. They get cold and also embarrassed. If you think we do dream on.

I'm not what anyone would call young any more, but when I was 21 I went to a proctologist for what I thought to be a hemorrhoid problem. This was at my parents insistence who thought it best to nip the problem in the bud. It turned out that it wasn't hemorrhoids but my girlfriend who cut me internally with a fingernail. I did not explain that to them afterwards of course ...

Anyway, there was no undressing done, neither time, in fact not even any removal of pants. I was instructed to drop my pants and then climb up onto the exam table. It was ungainly and challenging to do so with much dignity. Pants around the ankles are a bloody nuisance. I expected lower body nudity and would have preferred that to the silly and undignified hopping about with lowered pants around my ankles.

There is nothing arousing about a proctologists exam, not even afterwards as a memory.

I am also far from young butt the first time I went to a proctologist I was 14. Between all the fun I had with my friends most of which were annally inclined and my parents and Aunt and Uncle giving me enema's and constantly fingering my hiney I developed hemorrhoids. The doctor was a friend of my parents being in their social circle so I felt comfortable with him I played with his kids while he visited with my parents. Before my appointment my mom had to give me a one quart enema which I didn't want.Mom was in a no nonsense mood after fixing the enema she pulled me into the bathroom took my pants and undies down hauled me over her lap as she sat on the closed toilet seat and useing the bath brush made my tush bright red and me in tears. She waited till I calmed down and then spread my red tush and firmly pushed the enema nozzle into my rectum and bowels. Took the clip off the hose so the warm liquid rushed into my lower intestines. Once the enema was inside she left the nozzle in so I wouldn't leak and waited about five minutes before taking it out and put me on the toilet seat. I howled as my hot hiney hit the cold wooden seat. I eliminated the crap inside of me, she wiped me up and pulled my undies and pants back up and took me to the doctor.

He had me take everything off except my tee shirt and undies and I sat and waited for him. He smiled when he saw me and my mother. He explained what he was going to do which was to see where the hemorrhoids were and how many there were and to see if he needed to do anything right away. He showed me this two foot long steel tube which was around two inches or more round with several large holes in it. He said it would be uncomfortable but shouldn't hurt. He put a large amount of clear lube on the tube. Then he took my undies down and told me to get on my elbows and knees spreading my legs. As I got into position I knew he saw my now bright pink tush and said...Ut Oh someone was a naughty boy. Blushing I said Yes Sir, As I was saying that I felt my rosebud hole stretch as the front of the tube was slowly but firmly pushed into my rectum and slowly all the way into my bowels. I moaned Ohhh Ahhh Ohh so he stopped a few times for me to catch my breath and then pushed it in the rest of the way.once their he put his eye on the scope and started to pull it out every few inches. The procedure took about a half hour by the time the tube was pulled all the way out. After which he wiped my crack of the excess lube. He told me and my mother that they were just starting to develop and that I shouldn't be straining when I go potty otherwise they will pop and I will see blood.

I had to go back once every three months for the rest of that year. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. Even though after a while I did start to look forward to the exam.

The second time for a post-op didn't have anything to do caused by my girlfriend and by then wife. She worked at the same hospital, but wasn't the surgeon who operated on me ... one slip of her pretty finger years before was enough for me, I could do without a scalpel in her hands ... he he

Visited the proctocologist a few time for hemohorrids. One time I was allowed to keep my pants on and the other two times I took my pant's completely off and only kept my t-shirt on. It was most arousing the time a young female doctor and her older nurse checked my hemohorrids. I had an erection so I asked if I could have something to cover myself and I got a blanket to put across my genitals, though a first I thought It would be arousing to have an erection in front of female medical personell, but it turned out I was too embarassed. The other two times it was male doctors and wasn't equally arousing, but I still liked the rectal penetration with an anoscope though.

I went to one, but like some others, not at a young age, and for hemorrhoids. If I remember correctly, I was asked to drop pants and underwear in the presence of a middle aged, male doctor, and take a position on the lifting table. I had no sense of his patients or himself being gay.

I'm 26, I've been a few times over the last year or so

Never had to do anything more than lie on my left hand side and lower my underwear&trousers a bit, and the doctor's then sat on a short stall and pulled a light in close to examine and then give a rectal exam.

I had a flex sigmoidoscopy and prep enema, for that I changed into shorts with a hole in the back, and two hospital gowns on opposite ways round, but kept my tshirt on. In the prep ward, the nurse gave me the fleet enema and told me to hold it for five minutes. A bit later I was walked through to the procedure room and again just had to lie on my left side on a flat bed. I didn't have to undress or take off any gowns, the doctor lifted the back of one and put the scope through the hole in the back of the shorts

I'm 25 and had my first exam today. My gp had referred me because of blood in my stool. I wasn't quite sure what to expect.

When I arrived at the office I noticed that there were several windows near the ceiling, which were not covered by curtains. That did not help with my nervousness as I was worried that any passers by would be able to see me.

I explained my issues to the doctor and he said he would examine me with an anoscope. He showed me to the exam table which was hidden behind a screen. There he asked me to lower my pants and underwear, and lie down on my left side. While I was waiting, he prepared the equipment he would be using. After what felt like forever, he came back to the exam table. He explained what he was doing throughout the examination, first doing a digital exam before inserting the anoscope. It felt quite uncomfortable, like I was about to have a bowel movement, but I can't say I felt any pain.

When I left I made sure to walk by the office windows, and was relieved to see that they worked like a two-way mirror from the inside.

I'm in my mid-30s and have been to two proctologists in the past couple years. The first time it was a male doctor only. I kept everything on and he asked me to lay on my side and lower my pants for a quick DRE but that was it.

Went more recently to a different specialist. Was asked by the female nurse to undress completely below the waist and given a little cover up to put over myself. The doctor was a female and the nurse also stayed in the room for the exam. The table was flat and I was just asked to roll to my left side and pull my legs up. At that point the nurse removed my cover and the doctor did a DRE and then used an anoscope and then performed a short procedure with the anoscope still in.

I went to a proctologist in my twenties for hemeroids. The nurse took vitals at a nurse station and then to me to the exam room. She handed me a gown and told me "everything off and have seat on the table." The doctor came in followed by the nurse, and explained that he was going to examine me with is finger and then an anoscope. He had me kneel on a shelf and lay across the table. Then he tilted the table down so I was in a jackknife position. The nurse placed a pillow under my head. Then I felt the doctor pressing around my anus with a finger. Then he told me he was going to insert his finger and I felt cold gel on my anus. I was tender from hemiroids and so this wasn't pleasant. He felt around for a long while. Then I felt a large tube being inserted and that was uncomfortable. I had a few more follow up visits with him after that. I enjoyed the anal penetration a lot more after the hemoroids healed.

I'm 25 and I was examined by the proctologist twice.

My last exam was a few months ago.

Then he told me to lie down on the table and put me in the yes position. I remember him saying "put your butt right on the edge of the table". I stayed in that position waiting for the doctor for about 10 minutes, facing the nurse holding the gloves that the doctor was going to use in the exam.

Finally, a rigid sigmoidoscope measuring about 35 cm, which he inserted entirely into my anus. During insertion, he pumped air to facilitate insertion. Then he spread my cheeks again and asked me to push, as if I were having a bowel movement. This was the most embarrassing part because all the air he had put inside came out, lol.

The doctor entered the room, turned on a light towards my butt, put on gloves and began the examination.

Did both the nurse and the doctor both perform identical exams? For an anoscope or sigmoidoscopy, they usually want you prepped with an enema. Did you have to prep prior to the appointment or did the nurse give you an enema prior to telling you tou use the bathroom?

Proctologists have abandoned the term in favor of gastrointerologist. In some places they refer to their practice as" gastro".

Proctologists may be part of a gastroenterology clinic or department, but they don’t call themselves gastroenterologists. More likely they refer to themselves to as colorectal surgeons. A gastroenterologist doesn’t do any surgery, only diagnostic and mild procedures (removing polyps isn’t surgery). Big difference between the two

@Rigel Just the doctor performed the exam, the nurse just put me in position and helped the doctor during the exam.

Regarding the enema, they didn't administer it at the clinic and they didn't ask me to prepare it at home.

But since I knew my asshole would be the center of attention that day, I prepped prior to the appointment.

I had one as part of a yearly physical. I was wearing a gown and blue boxer briefs. The female doctor had me on the exam table, lying on my side. I pulled down my skivvies and she gave a quick check.

I also had an exam with a gastroenterologist. He just had me drop my pants and underwear, bend over the table, elbows on it, and he inserted a lubricated finger.

I also had a colonoscopy in my 20s, though I was indeed unconscious.
