Cyber Exams, Also, Question

Hello All,

So I've been doing a few virtual exams (over the IM box) and last night, after a particualry good one, I realized that there should be some discussion about this. It takes practice and it truly is more like an art form becasue you have to use creative writing skills, imagination, and pay closer attention to detail than you normally would in an in-person exam setting.

Any thoughts on the virtual exam and how we who cannot examine each other/be examined in person can expand our techinques?

Also something that's been on my mind for years but I haven't found the answer to; When did people being examined by a doctor start getting called "patients." Does it have anything to do with the word "patient" as in "patiently waiting"?

An interesting post, especially the question regarding the use of the word "patient". I looked it up..... marvellous thing the internet. It seems the word patient is derived from a Latin word patiens meaning "One who suffers" So now we know. I'd never thought about the origin before. A karma for you.
