Humiliated for bedwetting

Anyone else suffer being shamed in front of people with nappies for wetting the bed my mother was under the impression that if I was embarrassed enough I would not wet the bed and in the seventies that meant terry nappies and plastic pants

That is a very touchy subject for myself and my family. Mom had her business making hospital linen products and also diapers and related products for the care of the sick or in firmed. Many times Mothers would come to our house to buy one of Mom's bed wetter packages. The packages consisted of three cloth diapers, two pairs of plastic pants and a card of diaper pins. Mom would ask a lot of questions of the Mothers buying the diapers for their bed wetting kids. She would try to make sure they were to be used in the confines of their kid's bedrooms. We had heard of too many stories of Moms humiliating the hell out of their kids for bed wetting. Some of the Moms thought it was the child's fault or they were doing it on purpose. Mom always wondered if there should not be a pre qualifier for women to have and raise children.

Diaper humiliation is one of my many kinks and I love it. It is not for the innocent kids or even for that matter the older people that have a bed wetting or incontinence problems. I have been old enough to make my selections as to my kinks, no one should have a thing like diaper humiliation forced on them for any reason without making that choice themselves.

Responding to Peter here has brought back a few memories of Mom and her basement Sewing Room. The numbers of times and the numbers of women with children that came to her for incontinence protection or bed wetting protection products. Some people would be absolutely mortified of purchasing and or even trying the product on for the sake of proper fit. But there where a few Mom would say that loved the whole ordeal of being counselled and then fitted into some form of diapers and plastic pants. Mostly the teenage boys Mom would always say, but there where a few girls.

Put your mind in their space. Your Mother has just washed, scrubbed, and dressed you up until you shine. Now your in some very nice Lady's basement sewing room and your Mother is standing back and watching. This very nice Lady removes your pants and underwear and then diapers you. By the way, your Mother finds this all very interesting as she stares at you while your being diapered for the first time in years. Just to add insult to your already incredible humiliation and violation of privacy, the nice Lady asks your Mom who is going to be doing the diapering? Your Mom snaps out of her stare to answer. Oh, I will at first. But it is only a diaper to change isn't it? I am sure we can let anyone who wants to change their diapers change them. I do know their Grandma and Aunty's will be doing the diaper duties for them when they are around. They always make a fuss and love a person who requires diapers still.

Even after all of that terrible, torturous, humiliating experience, there where still some who you could tell liked it. We are a very kinky Species. This was a conversation of topic many times when Mom would diaper me for bed.

I would hope there would be lots of teasing baby talk about wetting ,if it were me,my bed like a big sissy baby and since I pee my bad like baby then I have to be pinned into thick cloth diapers like a baby. After having Desitin diaper rash cream roughly smeared all over my diaper area and baby powder sprinkled on top and having your mom, with a great big smile tell me that babies have to wear plastic baby pants over the diapers to keep the bed dry and Baby's diapers soaking wet so that he can feel what it's like to be a real sissy baby and asks my mom what color of plastic baby pants does she prefer as your mom brings out the different colors, mainly white, yellow and pink as well as baby print ones and shakes and dangles them in front of my mom and my face as to humiliate me even more. My mom then chooses the plain yellow ones and tells me those are the ones my little sissy baby needs to wear tonight but I would love to buy three of each of the white, yellow and pink ones and three pairs of your yellow and pink baby prints too. They look so cuuuute and I would love to show him off to all my lady friends and to the Mommy and baby class we go twice a week Then your mom would lift my right ankle and slip on one leg of the yellow plastic pants and then the left leg and ever so slowly wiggle the plastic panties up to my knees and then lifting my thick bulky diapered bum off the changing mat inch one side of the plastic panties then other side till the waist band is half way over the diaper then ,with your mom's help fuss to get the plastic panties over the diaper and making sure that all the diapers is tucked inside the legs and waist of the plastic panties while saying to me that I look like such a sissy pissy baby and gives my plastic pantied diapered bottom several good solid pats. I would love fo my mom to take her sweet time trying to get my plastic pants over my diapers in front of all her girlfriends and all the Mommies in her Mommy and Baby classes as she changes my wet diapers.

Never happened to me, but I've seem it many times. My friends used plastic pants on her 5 year old as a motovation tool every night. I remember the plastic pants hanging to dry in full display in his bedroom doorknob. God he hated that. Bed time mom would find a way to talk about his plastic pants in front of him. Dressed for bed it was time for thick training pants and mom s l o w l y putting him in Gerber toddler plastic pants.

Why do Moms do that to their kids? They probably had it done to them when they were growing up. I had a friend growing up, his name was leonard and he was a bed wetter. His mom came over to our place and bought a bunch of diapers and plastic pants. This was not the usual bed wetter's package that most parents bought. About a week later we were at the local Safeway Store and there was Leonard walking beside his mother's shopping cart with a t shirt and diapers on. My Mom almost cried she was so upset for poor Leonard. She then got angry and ripped into Leonard's Mom for being so cruel to her son. Leonard was about 8 at the time.

I know as diaper fetishists we dream of being forced to wear diapers and all of the funny little scenarios we write about. But put yourself in the place of a younger person being victimized by the one person that means the whole world to them, Mom.

When i was in my 20's(many.many years ago) my parents had a campsite at Isle LaMotte in Vermont. One Sunday we went to a large shopping mall and as we got out of the car I saw this little kid of about five with both his mom and dad and all he was wearing was very thick and bulky cloth diapers,I think Pampers and Hushaby's were just coming out,so it may have been in the early 70's, and yellow plastic panties. It didn't look like either he or his parents were bothered by them in the least. In fact as I watched them going into the mall I felt really jealous of him and wished that I was him and getting all kinds of looks from the other shoppers,especially the women,other moms and teenage girls. Maybe for some wearing only diapers and plastic pants is not a punishment but a badge of honor.

You know, when I was younger my parents would sometimes diaper me and put me in my pj's after dinner if I wasn't going out to play.there were many times I was taken to the stores in diapers and pj's or was changed in the parking lot.I guess I should have been embarrassed, but I was to naive to be when I was younger. I thought all kids wore diapers to bed like I did until like 10 I believed this.

I was a bed wetter until the age of 11. My mother would diaper me in thick cloth diapers and plastic pants every night before bed. She only punished me once in all that time. Once after I turned 11 and my bed wetting decreased in frequency I was out playing and wet my pants in the day time. She got mad and put me in diapers and plastic pants for the rest of the day. It was summer time and I was not allowed to put on any pants or shirt to hid my shame. She was mad she thought I was now going to be wetting during the day also. She told me to stay in the living room and play with my toys while she did the laundry. All of a sudden our neighbor Kate came in the front door, she started to laugh and said well baby where is your mommy she should not have left you alone. I called out to my mom who came up stairs and they both went into the kitchen to have coffee. I heard a lot of laughing, I am sure it was about me.I wet my diapers a little while later and went into the kitchen to ask my mom to change me. She said she had to change the laundry and asked Kate to do it. She said she would love to and took me to my room where she changed me into dry diapers and new plastic pants. It was my most embarrassing moments in my life.

I don't think I ever wet the bed. well there was that one time I had way to much to drink. But it was just embarrassing for me.

NO repeat NO child should ever punished for wetting themselves, at night some kids even don't master daytime control for many years

Jimmy I have been a Lawyer down in California for many years. You would be shocked as to how many people terrorize their children over bed wetting and day time accidents. Sitting in Court I hear the defendants case summary and time and time again it is stated; That is the way my parents took care of it when I was a child. Child Services in the State of California don't hesitate when their is any possible danger to a child weather it is their parents or not. It all goes back to that old saying two wrongs don't make a right. Love your children and work with them with their little problems. After all what is so terrible about a little wet bed or pair of pants? Diapers can be fun for the fetish crowd but they are just cruelty to the bed wetter or person that has accidents. All children deserve to grow up in a loving and protected environment and not be abused for something out of their control

I used to wet the bed as a kid and it sucked. My parents never beat me or punished me for it but they never really did much about it except help me change my sheets. Looking back on it now I wish they would have put me back in diapers at night but I was stubborn and I probably wouldn't have worn them.

Being a bed wetter as a young kid, the subject always strikes a note with me.

I wasn't shamed, or punished in any way when it happened, except for maybe a bit of sibling teasing. The whole experience was nasty enough, without the people you trust and love betraying that love and trust.

Some people might not be so evil in what they do however. Sometimes parents lack the skills and tools to deal with lots of situations like a bed wetting child. They do the best they know how, and in some cases what they experienced in their own young lives. They may love there kids, but don't know a good way to deal with the situation.

And on the other hand we have the A holes who do get pleasure from treating a child badly.

When I was young I learned, we will all have a day we must atone for our sins we have committed in life. I like to believe this will be so. Just think if it is so!

I'm lucky, my bed wetting didn't last long for me. I always wished, I would have had diapers to wear back then. Would have been a much better time.

If my children turn out to wet the bed, my aim is to make sure they are secure, and have as little anxiety as possible. If they need a diaper to get through that, then can't see why not.

My parents didnt make it a point to humiliate me but part of my responsibilities was to throw out my own diapers in the morning so when we were at a relatives that would sometimes mean walking into the kitchen with my used diaper and throwing it out with people being able to see.

When I first went away to boarding school aged 8 in 1957I used to wet most nights. The Matron used to come in each morning, pull the bedclothes back, call me a dirty little baby and send me off for a cold bath. That lasted till I was 13 and went to my next school where the house-master's wife had young children. She suggested I should go back to nappies and offered to put them in the washing machine with her children's so my wetting could be kept secret from the other boys. I shall always remember her with kindness and gratitude but the first Matron I remember only with loathing as the only person I have ever really hated.

Yes I remember the humiliation of wetting the bed at boarding school and finding matron had pulled back the covers (supposedly to air the bed) but letting everyone else know what you'd done. Then putting a red rubber sheet on the bed and once marked down as a bed wetter, regularly checking each morning. Although I could have got a clean change of pyjamas, I was so embarassed to go and ask the matron for them that I didnt, but then of course everybody could smell the urine and wasted no time letting you know. Remember later on when I was a prefect in charge of a dormitory, being tasked by the matron myself to make checks on the bed of one of the bed wetting boys in my dorm. Felt sorry for him. Would never have left his covers pulled back.

Off topic, Just noticed today in the supermarket the pictures on the largest size of GoodNites. Both the boy's and the girl's packaging feature models who look older than 15, in fact the girl looks like a woman! But I bet they dont fit adults unless lucky enough to be very slim.

I too was humilated for wetting my bed. I was 6yo it was xmas.I open a present from santa in the box was diapers rubber pant a bib and baby bottle.I open this in front of all my siblings and cousins.I remember everybody looking and laughing at and asking why i got diapers i had to tell them why.I SAID BECAUSE I WET MY BED.Before going to bed my my mom diapered me on the couch in front of everybody with everybody laughing at me. IT did nothing to stop from wetting my bed.Soon i liked wearing diapers and became a diaper lover that i still am today at 50 yo

I was a bed wetter up till about 4th grade. I recall the fact that i had to wear diapers to bed excluded me from going to sleep overs. It was never used to embarrass me, but my parents would talk about my issue with others. It's just the way it way it was. I remeber my dad would always diaper me at nigbt. 1 disposable, then one cloth, and then a pair of plastic pants.

To Bedwettersteve: That's very sad that day, and event was used to humiliate you for something you had no control to stop. Also some good parents would have this train of thought, when it came to dealing with a bedwetter. Maybe Santa should have been put on that naughty list himself, that Christmas?

To That Guy: I always felt bad when I overheard talk (by parents) of my own bedwetting too. Hated that feeling of embarrassment.

And wow! They weren't taking chances with you wetting your bed, were they? Disposable, cloth and plastic pants!

When my grandad on my mother’s side died I was sent to stay with my grandmother for the weekend for a year or so, I was around 10 or so at the time. Due to my constant bedwetting my parents kept me in diapers (nappies in UK) and plastic pants at night time. Whilst I was at grandmothers she also put me in diapers and plastic pants she even put them on me in front of my aunts, uncles and cousins who were visiting her at the time. A few times she made me wear them shopping if we were to be out most of the day. I complained to my mother about the day time wearing but told me that grandma was in charge while I was there.

Members of my family would discuss my bedwetting openly when I was in the room as if I wern't there "Is he still wetting his bed" as if I couldn't hear. Also my mother used to air my oft wetted matteras on the lawn for all to see. It was no secret I wet the bed growing up and eventually I got where it just didn't bother me. During my teens I wet deliberately out of lazines and because it was expected of me to wet my bed.

My mother would often say in front of everyone as I went to bed. Don't forget to put a nappy on.

In my fathers side of the family bedwetting is genetic. All of my cousins also wet the bed and this didn't change until we hit puberty.

While there was never any shaming it was a major point of conversation among the women. Who was still wetting who wasn't and who had diapers of what size to share.

I remember Christmas when I was 6. I was trying to stay dry for 2 weeks so I wouldn't have to wear my plastic pants anymore. I could go 4 or 5 days dry, then I would wet a little, and the count would start back to 0 again. The Gerber toddler size I was outgrowing. They would leave marks on my legs. I hoped I would get big enough that I just couldn't be made to wear the plastic pants anymore. When Christmas morning came, and it was time to open presents, when my turn came I opened 2 toy gifts! I was so happy. I opened the 3rd and last gift from my Mom, I at first couldn't figure out what I had unwrapped. I opened the box, and found a pair of Gerber adult size plastic pants in medium! I was so embarrassed opening that in front of everyone. My Mom later made me try them on over my regular undies to be sure they fit, and I had to wear those plastic pants for the rest of the day. I was so sad. They were hot and sweaty, and really uncomfortable. The worst Christmas. I wore those plastic pants for another 2 years before I made my 2 week dry goal. Then if I wet I was right back in them for a week "just to be sure". Very humiliating. I suffered dearly in those awful plastic pants.

My very best friend when I was growing up had a Governess to care for him. His father was some British Ambassador of some sort and filthy rich. They lived just down the street from us. We lived in the Canadian Government Residences a far cry from the posh British Residences where they lived.

This Governess used to take my friend out and walk him down the street in nappies if he wet the bed. He too would get diapers / nappies and plastic pants for Christmas and for birthdays. His adolescent life was one long humiliation for bed wetting.

His Mother and Father would travel away for weeks at a time leaving him in the care of this monster of a Governess. Most of the weeks his parents were away he would be nappied full time. There was a special clothes line set up by the pool in the back of the residence that would be filled with laundered nappies and plastic pants. They were his and he had the job of hanging them out when washed and bringing them in when dry. Quite often he would do his laundry choirs in only his nappies.

Bobby at 16 ran away from home, I heard never to return. We had moved on to Nicaragua by then so I had lost touch. I often wondered if he developed a nappy / diaper fetish from his years of abuse. I also wondered if he ever knew how I envied his diapers and plastic pants. They were always stacked neatly in his bedroom when I went to play with him.

When I was 6 or 7 years old I went through a short spate of bed wetting for not much more than 6 months. Mother was kindhearted about it, figuring it was a phase. She would usher me to the bathroom and stand over me, arms crossed, insisting I pee before going to bed and reminding me to get up and pee in the toilet as soon as I awoke. Sometimes it was hard to 'perform' under such observation, she would often turn on the tap and let it run so the sound of the water would make me go.

She did put a large piece of plastic under the bed sheet to save the mattress from getting wet. When outside playing one afternoon with my older sister and her friends the neighbor boy, who was about 3 years older than me, teased me about my bed making crinkling sounds when anyone sat on it. He went on to be sure everyone else understood why in an attempt to embarrass me with the older kids. He was only marginally successful. I turned a little red but took their laughing in stride.

I seem to recall her mentioning that I "wouldn't want her to have to do it," but Mother didn't resort to diapering me. I think she might have if the bed wetting had gone on much longer than it did. I suppose she would have done so more to save herself some labor and not in a way intended to humiliate me, at least not publicly, even in front of the family.

On another note, Michael Landon was a bed wetter into his early teens. He produced an semi-autobiographical made for TV movie on the subject. It was called 'The Lonliest Runner.' Like Landon's experience, the main character's mother hung the stained bedsheets outside every day as a source of humiliation to the child. The child would race home from school to pull down the sheets before his classmates would see them. As in Landon's case the track coach saw the kid running with lightning speed in the afternoons and recruited him to the track team. In the movie the boy goes on to be a winning Olympic athlete.

I didn't have a lot of trouble growing up but some.When I reached my 60's started wetting the bed out came the diapers mattress cover and pad.That was enough from my wife.

When I was little, my brother always had to brought it every chance he got specially when we had family over. always made me feel bad.

I think my mother thought the same thing, that if she shamed me enough, I'd stop.
