Watching Your Wife/Partner's Examination

I have no preference as long as I am there..

Hi Carla and friends, I all ways try and go with Mary for her exams . I have a few reasons for this, one for her moral support two I am a lab tec and the science intrests me. And I enjoy watching the procedure .

Hi. I'm a new poster, based in London, UK.

My wife hugely enjoys being gynaecologically examined by a male doctor - and I enjoy watching. It's quite easy for her to arrange that, as we see private doctors, which allows her to specify the gender of the doctor she sees. She arranges gyno appointments with different doctors more often than is really necessary, and makes sure she gets her breasts and vagina thoroughly examined. by a male doctor. She always asks him if I can sit in, and they're always happy with that. I find it a hugely sexual experience, and so does Pat. She puts on sexy underwear, and tries to ensure the doctor sees it before she's stripped completely. We always have fantastic sex when we get home afterwards.

Does anyone else - male of female have similar experiences of gyno exams?

I think this was probably one of the first things that got me into med get back in my youth. I had an X girlfriend of mine invite me to her exam. They were doing some kind of ultrasound on her while she was there. BLEW my mind and I didn’t realize it would. I talked to her about a few days later and we both decided to delve into some of the stuff she experienced and I saw. The rest is history!

I wish my husband would watch. He’s very polite and always takes his assigned seat up by my head. Once or twice he’s complained that he can’t see anything. I’d love to have the courage to ask him to look.

Hey @des, I really encourage you to talk to him about it!

I was married and never really spoke to my wife about being interested in her gyn exams, and when she discovered it - walked in on an extended internet browsing session... — she didn’t take it well, actually equated my interest with rape...

“do you have any idea how exposed and vulnerable a woman feels in that position?” she asks me... I knew better than to answer honestly, “well, yeah, that’s kind of the point...but just as a fantasy” And it never really went away, always hanging out there...

It’s not the same as your situation, but if I may offer, it’s so much better to be open and up front. Your husband might be as nervous as I was and afraid to share... He may not be, but if you talk about your interests he might become so. He may never, but I’ll bet, at the very least, he’ll respect your interest and maybe meet you half way!

I wish I had done so... if I had, at least my wife wouldn’t have been surprised and felt I was dishonest, maybe would have come around. Or maybe we would have come to realize one of our irreconcilable differences sooner, and found more compatible partners earlier in life.

Ok, damn - sorry, TMI, but hey - it’s advice from the heart 😃

I have not had a partner for nearly two years now, but it was my now ex husband that got me started. When he learnt I had to go to my physician for an insurance physical he said he would come too. I was up for it as we were newly married and explored each other at the slightest excuse, but coming from the UK I thought hell would freeze over before my physician would let my husband watch, but did not mind in the slightest, and almost too offense that I would even ask permission - it seemed a done deal. Boy did we shag each other after we had left the physician. seeing that Spain is a lot my warmer than the UK, we had sex outside as we would do very often especially when I was having my period.

Went with my wife today to have an ultra sound. Last week when my wife had a follow up doctors visit for some lab work and to visit with the doctor to check on how effective some medication was working that he had put her on. In that visit she mentioned she had some pain around the area of her right kidney occasionally. The doctor ordered an ultrasound of her abdomen and pelvic. The only thing he mentioned is that he wanted to rule out anything going on with her ovaries as well as her kidneys.

For the past week leading up to the exam she was wandering what the pelvic would intel. I had mentioned to her yesterday that it could possibly include a transvaginal as well as just across her pelvic area, just by what I had read up on it. So, this morning she showers and primps as if she was going to have to remove her underwear. We really just didn’t know what to expect.

So this morning I went with her to her appointment. She had asked me to go in with her. We waited in the waiting room and close to the appointment time a tall and well-built gentleman stepped into the waiting room and called her name. We get up and follow him to an exam room. He asks her to lay on the exam table. She is wearing shorts, he asks her to lower them to the top of her pubic bone and raise her shirt up under her boobs. They had asked her to come in with a full bladder and he ask her if she felt full. She said yes and he said we will do this portion first and then I’ll let you go to the rest room and then we will get on with the rest of the exam. He was very pleasant and kept her engaged with conversation the entire time he was scanning her pelvic area. When he finished, he told her she could go empty her bladder. When she returned he asked her to remove her shorts and underwear and gave her a towel to lay across her waist. He didn’t watch her undress, he was preparing the probe that he was going to use. She lays down and lays the towel across her belly. He turns to her and ask her to raise her right leg at the knee as he is prompting her with his hand, she raises both knees and spreads her legs for him without him having to prompt her anymore. She is mostly exposed from the bend of her legs at the waist. He had already placed a large blob of lubricant to the wand. He reaches through and under her right leg and leans over to get a view of her vagina. He places some lubricant from the end of the probe onto her vagina. When he has wiped lubricant from the probe around on her vagina, he slides the probe up in her with one smooth move. I notice it seemed to kind of startled her when he pushed it in. He then focuses on the monitor. He spends probably between five and ten minutes with this portion of the exam and he pulls the probe out and hands he some tissue. She cleans herself and he tells her she can put her underwear back on.

She lays back down and he completes the abdominal exam for like another ten minutes. When he finishes he gives her some wipes to clean all the gel off. This whole exam was very surreal. When we left I took her to get some food and we went on to work. We really haven’t had a chance to talk about it so far, but she knew I was in heaven, watching it all!!

That is normal between my girlfriend and me and we like it that way

My bf has always been there for mine. He came to the first one because we were both very nervous about me having it. Now, I don't think it'd make much difference from an exam perspective. I know he gets very aroused seeing it, though, and I like knowing that I'm arousing him.

My hubby always comes with me. He is older, so we enjoy a little daddy/daughter conversation on our way.

6 months ago, my 59yr old wife told me she was peeing heaps and had a burning sensation. She said that something didn't feel right and could I have a look for her. Yep, the urethral opening looked inflamed and irritated, and the surrounding tissue looked inflamed also. She asked if I could take a photo on my phone and show her. I advised her to make an appointment with her doctor. Her usual doctor was away, so she made an appointment with a male doctor that was available the next day and she asked if I could go with her to help her feel comfortable not knowing the doctor.

I attended the doctors with her and could tell she was nervous. Her name was called out, and we both went into the office together. The doctor introduced himself and then asked my wife "what brings you in here today" "I don't think I have met you before". My wife looked very uneasy. My wife told him what was going on and in hope that she didn't have to get undressed in front of this strange doctor, she asked me to show him the photo. The doctor looked at the photo on my phone, and then very casually said to my wife "let's take those pants off and jump up onto the table and I will have a look". My wife gave me an uncomfortable smile. As my wife made her way to the examination table, the doctor went to pull the curtain around my wife. She immediately said to the doctor that she didn't need the curtain as she was more comfortable with me being with her. The doctor ignored her and left the curtain in place around the table and then went behind the curtain whilst she undressed. My wife step around the curtain to hand me her panties and pants to place on the chair next to me, and when going back to the table, opened the curtain a little. The doctor saw her move the curtain and looked at me, smiled, and then pulled the curtain back in place. The doctor then told her to place her feet in the stirrups, and he will have a look. The doctor stepped back and grabbed some gloves, smiling at me as he pulled them on and went back to my wife. The view I now had was of the doctor standing at the end of the table and I could see my wife's feet sticking out past the curtain. The doctor then turned on the bright light, and I could see the image of my wife laying back with her feet elevated in the stirrups. The doctor made a point of speaking really load as to what he doing to my wife. "I will just open your vagina, and if you feel any pain, let me know". "I am just going to spread your labia a little wider, let me know if this is painful". The doctor then said to my wife that it looked like an UTI and possible thrush infection. My wife then said could you show my husband what you are looking at so he can show me later in the photo when we get home. I know this was an attempt by wife to get me behind the curtain to hold her hand and put her at ease. The doctor again ignored her. The doctor asked me to show him the photo again so he could compare to yesterday when the photo was taken. As I stood up to walk over to him, he just reached out and took my phone. The doctor then told my wife (and me) that he was going to feel around inside her vagina. the doctor stepped back from the curtain, grabbed the gel, smiled at me and then went back to my wife. "this is going to be cold, I am just going to insert a finger, if you feel any pain let me know" "OK, just going to push down on your bladder now" The doctor then told my wife that he needed a urine sample to confirm the UTI, and sat a bowl and sample cup on the table. I heard my wife ask where the toilets were, and the doctor told her to pee in the bowl and then take a mid stream sample with the cup. The doctor then reached over and handed me my phone back as I heard my wife peeing into the bowl. The doctor then told my wife to get dressed and pulled the curtain back so I could pass her the clothes back. As my wife was getting dressed, the doctor casually told her that he was going to prescribe some anti biotics for the UTI and some thrush cream. He told my wife to make an appointment for next week to get the test results and follow up with the infection. My wife got out of there in a hurry. We got back to the car and she asked me "can you just give me a cuddle". I took her home. When we got home she said she felt so uncomfortable and she said she saw the doctor keep smiling at me before he went back to her. She said she was not going back, and that she will phone for her results. My wife said she will not go to the doctors again unless I am with her. We have been back to her usual doctor, but never said anything about what happened.

I asked my boyfriend to come with me to my first appointment for emotional support, given the sensitive nature of the visit, to help overcome any embarrassment and to handle the conversation about sexually transmitted diseases together. He was a huge help.

My Dr is also a good friend of my husband. He and hubby were college roommates and often played together. When we go for physicals he gives us the VIP treatment. It is very hot and exciting for all of us.
