Are toys being used now at a much younger age?

People seem to be using things now at a much younger age the first time i tried it was in my eraly 20 s but from what i find out now much younger patients are going 4 them also a lot more males are trying them out then it used to be

I don't know that is really accurate with regard to age in girls. I can't speak for boys, except for the ones in high school whose backsides I imposed toys on.

I think people who were going to try toys of some sort, start at an early age. For example, as a child I always enjoyed putting my fingers in my vagina and rectum and I have inserted candles in my rectum and vagina since I was five or six years old.

It's a good thing I never got an infection and didn't have a gyno exam until college when it was obvious to everyone I was having sex. If they had checked me when I was 12 or 13, they would have wondered who I had been screwing because my hymen was long gone.

I think its probably down to the fact that kids nowadays are exposed to a lot more sexual things now and are generally more sexually frustrated. I mean I started young, but im 19 now and only just trying an actual vibrator.

Since my first post in this thread two years ago, I have learned that both my teenage daughters have used toys for a few years when they masturbate.

Open to all: I do ask did it worry when your children (sons and daughters) begin to find their sensuality and you find out about them using toys/objects?

I suppose we all went through those stages but my concern is what if my children loses control or worse. It's only natural to protect and care for our offspring. Like others mentioned we do live in a more open sexual environment. Recently went to the cinema and saw young teenagers in line for fifty shades of grey.

Currently, I am going with the flow of things and not going to cause trouble unless something unhealthy happens (medical issues most likely) or they bring it up.

I would have to agree with the comments made so far about seeing all kinds of toys on the Internet and at least getting ideas about potentially trying to get one. The one key barrier to Internet toys is that you need to be able to pay for them through some sort of credit card or PayPal account which most kids probably don't have. I've never had kids so maybe many kids do have the ability to order discretely over the Internet- I would not be surprised if they do.

So if they do, then its a wide open ball game. Then all they would have to do is make sure they are the first ones to get to the mail box (UPS or FEDEX) before anybody else in their household. I would imagine these kids would need to keep these toys secret from parents or at least most would feel the need to unless you live in a household with open minded parents who don't mind that the kids have toys.

Teenagers today might not have ready access to a credit card, but they can work around that fairly easily.

Going back to the 1980's when I entered my 20's, the only places to get toys were either Adult book stores/novelty shops or through mail order catalogs that you learned about in various adult magazines. My first catalog and order was from Adam and Eve in the mid-80's. Now it is easy to go online, browse and order with a credit card. So I imagine younger people are now getting toys. There is also a lot more information readily available about them than there was in the past so that probably piques interest as well.

I have been told there is a lot more information about sex toys in the last 20 years maybe than there used to be, like maybe 40 or 50 years ago.
