Socks off for a physical?

In real life I am ambivalent one way or another. My caveat is having something of a sandal/birkenstock hyper fixation, if it’s summer I’m wearing my birks or Chaco/tevas, then obviously I’m barefoot already.

As a play patient, I love having my feet examined, and in a play exam as a doctor I 100% want to do a good foot exam unless otherwise asked not to.

Even if they don't touch the feet, it is good to get a visual inspection. Some doctors, if they are not going to examine the feet will have them left on for patient comfort (some exam rooms can be chilly) Ultimately, as with most things, it boils down to training and personal preference of the clinician.

Typically on, but I’ve had them removed before.

Because I am diabetic my doc checks my bare feet for neuropathy.

When a doctor asks me to undress down to my undergarments, I strip down to my briefs and take off my socks.

If the doctor asks me to undress completely, I take everything off, including my socks.
