I sort of posted this on an another thread but I figured it was an important enough topic that it should get it's own. A company called Orgasm Alley makes outstanding spanking machines that have the option of time release cuffs. They are having a sale right now and the people from Real Spanking swear by this machine. I desperately wanted to purchase one right now but my car died earlier this year so the funds had to go elsewhere. >😢 The spanking machine has two other fantastic options: 1) you have a hand held device to determine the type of spanking or 2) and even better, a computer program that can not only allow you to program the Discipline required but can hooked up on-line so a Disciplinarian from a considerable distance away can properly deal with the miscreant.

I think a spanking machine would be the way to go if you have nobody to adminster the spanking to you. I have heard of RoboSpanker online.

I think part of the problem with a spanking machine is the noise, the size, and the cost. They're loud...and they're just not the same as being spanked by another person. The machine usually hits in the exact same spot every time, and doesn't have the ability to assess the damage of the buttocks and readjust for a properly spanked behind. It seems like the 'idea' requires more technology than we currently have to properly produce a machine that will replace a true disciplinarian.

If you have the kind of money to spend on a product like that, I personally, would take it to a professional and have a much better experience, even if fleeting.

I would love to see one in action. If it were right there, I might try it. I doubt I would ever send money off to buy one sight-unseen.

Yeah, it'd be fun to try but there seem to be way too many disadvantages to buy one.

If you have two heavy book cases or similar furniture you can push together, buy a 24 inch ruler and stick between them. It should have enough flex to do the job.

I will probably be purchasing the Orgasm Alley spanking machine and a fucking machine soon. I would avoid the Robospanker as the only element you can really control is time without major disassembly/reassembly. I want something I can control (ahead of time, of course, once I'm locked in I'm in for the duration...) for both intense fun play, safe self-bondage and strict discipline (to work on various character flaws like procrastination, not keeping the house clean, and not securing better income). The magnetic time lock and the option that moves the impact zone double the cost but seem critical necessities.

I've seen ads for two companies that make these spank machines and there may well be more. The reviews I've seen while interesting are, I suspect, either posted by people with a connection to the manufacturer, or are on a site where the manufacturer can delete negative reviews. I'm not sure of that. Just seems likely from what I remember seeing.

I'd love to know more about these machines and how people use them. Does use fall into three main categories --- self spanking, a couple using for fun, or a couple using for actual discipline of the other? As interested in them as I may be I don't think I'd want one in this house. On the rare occasions my wife needs a spanking I would far prefer to administer it myself. My spankings from her are far more frequent and I worry if all she had to do was say,

I have never used one ....bbuuuuut on those occasions when no one is available having a machine of that sort would be nice.....someone handing out the spanking is always much better.

After I posted, I wondered if anyone here might be connected with one of the companies that makes spanking machines and could tell me how many they sell in a year, and what the demographics of their customers are, male/female, location, and to the extent they know intended use and that sort of thing.

Wait till it does break down. The repair bills on that model are extremely high, at least in the US.

After several attempts to build a DIY spanking machine, I gave up and bought one from a company in Spain. It only cost $100 but it was relatively weak. Since I have a very tough ass, I had to experiment with various implements mounted onto it. The problem was that the spring was not strong enough to swing anything as heavy as a paddle hard enough for me to feel it. I finally found that a metal coat hanger was light enough to be swung hard enough to hurt me. It did cause some bleeding but that was fine for me. For most of you, the machine could probably work with a thin switch or cane. Google spanking machines and you should be able to find it.

That would be the preferred option of course, but it isn't always a practical one.

Having a machine for this purpose seems rather, well, cold. I am relatively naive but, while I am a masochist, half of the appeal to a BDSM relationship lies in the dynamic between two partners. Having a machine to fill in for physical sensation seems the equivalent of masturbating with a cheese grater. It might click the boxes of pain with a bit of pleasure, but I doubt it would leave the same impression.
