Enema nozzle vs. Colon tube

Please share your experience. I only used regular nozzle, which sold in pharmacies with enema (water bottle combination).

What are pros and contras of using colon tube?

I find Drug Store Nozzles totally inadequate. There are much better Nozzles available on a number of Websites.

Colon Tubes are a little tricky at first, but give the feeling of a much deeper fill.

And is it any special procedure to use tube or just to insert as nozzle?

And how deep to insert?

Colon tubes definitely give a more comfortable complete fill. I'll usually insert it fairly shallowly, then introduce a good amount of water, stop, more water, etc. If I encounter any resistance, I'll back out a bit and... more water. The water inflates the colon (surprise!) and makes it easier it insert the tube further. Also twisting a bit will help get it around bends. All that said, I've only been able to get it in all the way once or twice - I found the sensation of it "popping" around corners etc. kind of scary.

There are opened and closed colon tubes and a malecot tube. How would you decide on the type to use?

I am about to order a colon tube, could anyone suggest which one, open or closed?

My first colon tube was a 32 Fr, 30". It's a great sensation, but I found I prefer a larger tube. My current favorite is a 40 Fr 30" with a closed end. I have a 48 Fr, 50" tube, but I rarely use it since the length is a bit much to control, especially once my hands get slippery from the lube. I'm considering cutting about 20" off of it and that might improve the control.

I tend to agree with that 30" is about enough. I know that there are folks who prefer longer tubes, but everyone's body is different. 30" is comfortable for me when inserted all the way. Well, all the way except for the inch or so I'm still hanging on to .

I think if you start with a 32 Fr 30" you can't go wrong. The closed end is better, in my opinion, since it's not susceptible to clogging up if your clean out enemas weren't entirely successful.

Just remember to take it slowly and gently. Two inches ahead and one inch back, along with a gentle twisting motion generally works very well. If it's done right, it feels great. So if you feel pain, you're doing it wrong.

To me, the colon tube is the ultimate type of enema.

The regular nozzle that comes with the enema bag is only good as an adapter to insert into a colon tube.The red colon tubes most people use are too hard to insert very far,however, you can soak them in hot water to soften them up.I prefer to make my own colon tubes from pure gum rubber tubing you can buy for about 1.25pr ft.at a surgical supply store.You can buy the tubing off of a roll and in differant sizes.I cut my colon tubes about 6 ft in length,turn the end outside in to make it smooth,then I cut a small hole on the side about one inch from the end of the tube.Usually I can snake a well lubed colon tubes inside me about 36 to 40 inches without and problems,but that is after I do a couple of cleanout enemas.

I have used other nozzles from 1 inch dia. to two inch and found the colon tubes gives me the most desired feeling,I mean when the tube is inserted way inside me,it is most pleasureable feeling.Let the good times flow.w/m72yrs/Western Ma

Would you suggest a colon tube for a not so experienced enema user?

It depends on my mood which I enjoy the most. I usually use the colon tube when I'm going to do a series of 3 or more. It allows me to get the solution much higher up and the need to expel is delayed substantially. If I'm only going to do a single bag, I use the douche nozzle as it stays in place better than a regular enema nozzle.

Colon tubes are absolutely my favorite. They certainly take a whole new level of patience, but can be extremely rewarding. It's such a unique feeling.

Guess it depends on my mood - wether I'm planning a cleaning enema or a sex enema. Sometimes, a somehwat wider enema-nozzle feels like the way to go, other times, the colon tube is it.

I really enjoy my colon tubes. Over the years I have collected several, both open and closed ends, but my favorite is a 36Fr.closed end 30" tube. It glides in so easily and generally makes it all around the bends. The feeling from getting an enema with a nice high fill is one of life's little pleasures!

Being a beginner, I'd start with a regular nozzle. the thought of Something that far inside me is kinda scary, lol.

I have used drug store nozzles but find they can slip out. I purchased some retention nozzles on line that I like very much because they do not slip out. The retention nozzles came in three different diameters but I use the smallest size most often.

Absolutely ... a novice should have no problem. Just go easy and don't insert more than 8 inches. Just go slow, don't jam it in, don't force it. After your are in 2 inches, release the flow. You will find that the flowing water will make insertion easier. Use plenty of lubrication on the tube.

One key point, If it hurts STOP !, Make sure you use a 34 size tube min. If your having issues with it kinking, turn on the water flow after 12 inches or so. Also make sure you lube the tube generously, Try astroglide as it is water resistant. I always use a closed in tube so there is little chance of injury.

I've found ordinary nozzle to be as adequate as anything else -- IF I take very large enema patiently: very slowly, stopping flow if cramp comes and beginning again when cramp ceases.

To svbg;To use a colon tube you need to know a couple of things.You should take at least two cleanout enemas of one and a half quarts.The first enema can be had with some Ivory soap w/1.5 qt,the second enema w/ 1.5 teaspoon salt added to 1.5qt water.Both of these enemas should clear the colon enough to insert the colon tube at least a ft and perhaps more depending on the type of colon tube you're using.

If you are using a new red colon tube,it will be too stiff to insert very without hurting,therefore,I suggest soaking the tube in very hot water for about ten minutes to soften the tube up.Apply a good amount of lube to your anus and also on the tube itself.Before inserting the colon tube,open the clamp to allow the air to escape,close the clamp and began to insert the tube into your anus about 3or 4 inches.now click open the clamp to let the water flow.Push and twist the colon tube into you while the water is still flowing,sometimes you might have to pull the tube out a little to get the tube straight if it starts kinking.

It takes a little practice to work a colon tube deep into the colon,so don't get dissapointed if things don't work out perfectly the first few times.Be patient,it's a working process.Let the good times flow.w/m72yrs/Western Ma

Have tried colon tube, double balloon rectal catheter, drug store variety and the in line flush but have to say my FAVE is the 6" x 1.25 diameter tapered Delrin Nozzle. has anyone tried that version with the holes pointed backward towards the anus ?

I use a douche tip first to do a clean out or two. I also like Dr. Bonners Lavender Soap for the clean outs. Then I change to the Colon Tube. You need to take it slow and easy and I can usually get the entire tube inserted. I also use another Dr. Bonners Lavender Soap enema but with the Colon tube it seems to be a lot more comfortable taking the entire bag or two. Then I finish up with a regular clear water rinse with salt. This works for me. Remember SLOW and EASY.

I go for the Colon Tube it feels better .and I can hold it better.

I like both the tube colonic and the rectal enema. They're different sensations which is nice. I have trouble getting past 18 inches of insertion, must be a tight corner.

Definitly I prefer colon tube FR34!
