As I've mentioned in a few posts, I've rarely been examined by a doctor.
I particularly remember the school doctor, a woman of a certain age, who examined me when I was 3 and 6. Without asking, she pulled my underwear aside with one hand, and I looked at my mother, who said nothing.
This doctor examined me with her other hand, first my testicles, then she retracted my foreskin, pulling it back as far as possible, while asking if it hurt. Then she put it back in its original position. Both of these situations were awkward and embarrassing.
A few months ago, my GP examined me, then my urologist, and finally my dermatologist. They retract the foreskin themselves. While it's true that it's a little embarrassing, this is different. On the one hand, I am the applicant, and on the other hand, they need to look into it to determine what my current illness is, and what its follow-up is.
